The first thing Kaleab noticed was the description of his talent or lack of it. In games there is a saying "the more simpler the description the more creative you could be"
Before he could investigate better he heard a pop like sound like a balloon , when he looked outside he saw the pods gently lowering people's inside , when they touched the ground they poped like a balloon
As if remembering something he run upstairs when he went upstairs he heard his sister voice saying "status".
When he got there he saw his sister and mother awake and his sister was looking at the air in front of her and his mother was confused why she got in her bedroom.
Before he could say anything his sister told her to say status and like her she started to look at the air with interest
"It's says here I have a talent for cooking , and what does this numbers and symbols mean son"
Kaleab sat down beside her "mom try to remember , everything has been given or more like download directly to our brain"
Nicole nodded her head and closed her eyes after a few moment she said "so that's how it is everyone starts with the same attribute just the talent is different , what's your talent hermy"
Hermy still looking at her status said "my talent is wepon master it allows me to use and become familiar with it in short amount of time , what about you" said looking at Kaleab
At the mention of his talent he was still thinking in the general information provided he didn't see Son of Divinity or Son of Sin so he doesn't know if they are just rare or 1 in a million and in the novels he read it's troublesome when you stand out to much.
It's much better that few people know that for one he have 2 talents and second he doesn't want to say , this powerful sounding talents so he will figured he had to lie even if it's from his family so he told a white lie "I can control shadows or darkness in general"
Why didn't he say about the sfr or divinity,
First of it's high sounding like it connects with gods (divinity) and light in almost all novels he read is the representative of nobility, and priest and what not , And he had a gut feeling he shouldn't be found having or possissing this kind of power.
Second he doesn't even know the language of the color(sfr) , he didn't even know this kind of color existed till now, this is how high the talent is and his gut feeling never let him down.
So he said he can control darkness and shadows which he can do using Son of Sins sub talent like at his level of power he can only do superficial things with his talents
With Son of Sin he can control people's emotion and shadow or darkness in general , with Son of Divinity he can heal a person or suck the life force out of a person.
It might seem basic but there is no defense for healing like you can't reject healing same way you can't defend when your life force is getting sucked out of you, you can only watch and despair as you get weaker and weaker while your opponent getting powerful and powerful.
Before he can communicate more he heard screaming and shouting outside , he got up and peaked out of the window , and he saw a black portal with dark purple cracks at it edge.
