The fight didn't stay near Earth. It couldn't. The sheer kinetic energy generated by a Hyper-charged hedgehog and a New God was tearing the local fabric of space-time.
Elias threw a punch. Darkseid caught it. The shockwave shattered the moon's orbit, pushing it slightly further away from Earth.
"Too close," Elias gritted his teeth. "Take a trip!"
He grabbed Darkseid by the face.
Chaos Control: Mass Teleport.
VWOOM.
Location: Mars
They reappeared in the red dust of Mars.
Elias didn't let go. He drove Darkseid's head into the surface, dragging him through the Valles Marineris canyon at Mach 5,000. The friction turned the red sand into glass instantly, carving a trench five miles deep.
Darkseid roared, firing Omega Beams from his eyes at point-blank range.
Elias phased, letting the beams hit the Martian soil, vaporizing a mountain range.
Darkseid kicked Elias off him. The impact sent Elias hurtling into the atmosphere.
"You cannot hide!" Darkseid bellowed, launching himself upward.
They collided in orbit, the impact ringing like a cosmic bell.
Location: The Asteroid Belt
They were a blur of motion ricocheting off giant rocks.
Elias grabbed a nickel-iron asteroid the size of Manhattan. Using Hyper strength, he swung it like a baseball bat.
SMASH.
He hit Darkseid with the asteroid. The rock shattered into dust upon contact with Darkseid's Omega aura, but the momentum carried the New God backward.
Darkseid retaliated. He grabbed two smaller asteroids and crushed them into plasma in his hands. He hurled the molten rock at Elias.
Elias spun. Hyper Tornado.
He created a vortex in the vacuum, catching the plasma and redirecting it back at Darkseid, adding his own prismatic lasers to the mix.
The explosion lit up the darkness for light-years.
Location: The Sun
"Let's see you handle the heat!" Elias shouted.
He tackled Darkseid and pushed. He drove them both toward the center of the solar system.
They breached the corona of the Sun.
Inside the star, gravity was crushing, and the heat was millions of degrees. For normal beings, instant death. For Hyper Elias and Darkseid, it was just a change of scenery.
They fought inside the photosphere. Solar flares arched around them.
Elias used the sun's energy. He absorbed the solar radiation, overcharging his Hyper form. He became blindingly white, invisible against the backdrop of the star.
He struck Darkseid a thousand times in a microsecond. Each hit triggered a solar eruption.
Darkseid grabbed Elias by the throat, ignoring the heat. "I am the darkness that swallows the light!"
Darkseid dragged Elias deeper, toward the core. He intended to crush him with the weight of the star.
Elias struggled. The pressure was immense. Even Hyper form had limits against stellar gravity.
"System!" Elias thought. "Super Peel Out!"
He revved his legs against the dense plasma of the sun's core. He generated enough friction to create a localized black hole.
POP.
The singularity spat them both out at faster-than-light speeds.
Location: Oa (Green Lantern Headquarters)
They crashed onto the green pavement of the Citadel of the Guardians.
The Green Lantern Corps scrambled. Kilowog, Tomar-Re, and hundreds of others ignited their rings. The Guardians of the Universe looked down from their high seats in horror.
"What is this intrusion?" a Guardian demanded.
"Sorry!" Elias yelled, rolling to his feet. "Passing through!"
Darkseid rose from the crater. He looked at the Central Power Battery—the source of all Green Lantern will.
"A delicious snack," Darkseid sneered. He reached for the massive green lantern.
"Don't you dare!" Elias shouted.
Elias blurred. He didn't attack Darkseid; he attacked the concept of his reach. He used the leftover Chaos energy to warp space, moving the Power Battery three miles to the left instantly.
Darkseid grabbed empty air.
Enraged, Darkseid turned his Omega Beams on the Corps.
"Constructs up!" Kilowog roared. A thousand green shields formed.
The Omega Beams shattered them like glass.
Elias zipped in front of the blast. He crossed his arms.
Hyper Shield.
The beams hit him and scattered.
"Get out of here!" Elias ordered the Lanterns. "He's way above your pay grade!"
He tackled Darkseid again.
Chaos Control.
Location: The Source Wall
They tumbled out of the warp at the edge of the universe.
Before them stood the Source Wall—the gigantic, cosmic barrier that marked the end of existence. Embedded in the wall were the bodies of gods and titans who had tried to cross it, frozen forever in stone.
Darkseid floated, panting slightly. His armor was gone. His chest was bruised. One of his eyes was swollen shut.
Elias floated opposite him. His Hyper form was flickering. The rainbow light was dimming to a steady gold. The "Infinite Source" passive was straining under the load of universal travel.
"There is nowhere left to go," Darkseid said, gesturing to the Wall. "This is the end."
"For you, maybe," Elias said. He checked his status.
Integrity: 40%.
Willpower: Maximum.
"You know," Elias said, wiping cosmic dust from his face. "You keep talking about the End. About Anti-Life. About Control."
Elias pointed at the Source Wall.
"But look at that. It's a wall. It's a boundary. And do you know what Sonic the Hedgehog does with walls?"
Darkseid narrowed his good eye. "He dies against them."
Elias grinned. It was a feral, joyful grin.
"He breaks the sound barrier. He breaks the light barrier. He breaks the fourth wall."
Elias began to spin.
He wasn't spinning at Darkseid. He was spinning in place.
He curled into a ball. The prismatic colors returned, violent and unstable. The hum of his rotation grew so loud it vibrated the Source Wall itself. The frozen giants seemed to shudder.
"I'm not just a glitch, Darkseid," Elias shouted over the roar of his own power. "I'm the Debugger!"
Hyper Spindash: Limit Break.
He launched.
He hit Darkseid.
He didn't stop at Darkseid. He pushed him.
He drove the God of Evil backward. Not into space.
Into the Wall.
"NO!" Darkseid realized what was happening. He clawed at Elias, firing beams, punching, thrashing.
"Enjoy the view!" Elias screamed.
CRASH.
Elias slammed Darkseid into the Source Wall with the force of a Big Bang.
The cosmic stone groaned. The Promethean galaxy shook.
Elias pushed until he felt the Wall accept the offering. The stone grabbed Darkseid. It wrapped around his limbs. It swallowed his torso.
Darkseid howled, his avatar merging with the barrier at the end of the universe. His red eyes dimmed as he was calcified, frozen in a scream of eternal rage.
Elias rebounded off the wall, backflipping into the void.
He watched as Darkseid turned to stone, becoming just another statue in the gallery of failed gods.
Elias floated there for a long moment. The silence of deep space returned.
His Hyper form faded. The gold vanished. The blue returned.
Elias drifted in zero gravity, completely spent.
"Okay," he whispered to the empty universe. "I think I won."
He closed his eyes, letting the cosmic drift carry him.
"Now... how the hell do I get back to Earth?"
