Chapter 50 - Chapter 50: Teaching (Part 2)

Earlier in the office, it had been decided that the original teachers would continue to handle basic knowledge and magic theory.

Ultear would lead the children in meditation in the large classroom, while Erza would teach physical exercise and martial arts.

This arrangement was ideal, as it also allowed them time for their own personal training.

Jessica introduced Ultear and Erza to the children, explaining that Raizel—who had already departed for a mission—would return later to join the teaching staff.

Ultear and Erza were met with enthusiastic cheers.

Ultear dazzled the students with "Ice Make" on the playground, showcasing her considerable skill in crafting both static sculptures and dynamic, moving creations.

Erza followed suit, shifting instantly into her Heaven's Wheel Armor and Black Wing Armor, drawing continuous gasps of amazement from the crowd.

...

Ten days later, having completed six missions, Raizel returned to the school.

From the sky, he spotted Erza leading the children in horse stances and straight punches.

The kids followed her movements with youthful vigor.

"Ha! Ha! Ha!"

Their shouts accompanied every punch.

Both Erza and Ultear noticed Raizel hovering above, but Erza didn't look up, choosing to continue the lesson.

The children, intently focused on her, remained unaware of his arrival.

Ultear, who had been meditating under a tree nearby, stood up.

Raizel descended, landing softly beside her to avoid disturbing the class.

"Are the missions finished?" Ultear asked quietly.

"Yes, all taken care of," Raizel replied. "We'll stay and teach here for now, then leave when the agreed time comes."

If they had traveled by train or on foot, those missions might have taken three to four weeks.

Raizel's flight capabilities had saved them significant time.

Ultear nodded. "Alright."

With Ultear and Erza's roles already assigned, Raizel hesitated.

What could he teach? His theoretical knowledge paled in comparison to Ultear's, especially since she had been personally tutored by the First Master, Mavis.

Scratching his head, Raizel asked, "So, what should I teach the kids?"

Ultear pressed her lips together in thought. "Go buy a batch of wooden swords first. Erza will teach them sword practice later. You can focus on training their physical fitness."

"Okay, I'll go get them right away."

Raizel asked Jessica about nearby weapon shops, knowing such places usually had a market for beginner wooden swords.

He was surprised to find there were none nearby, likely due to the lack of Mages in the area.

Consequently, he flew to the nearest large city.

Considering potential wear and tear and the possibility of new students, he went all out and bought 300 pieces in total—150 wooden swords and 150 wooden knives.

The shop owner, delighted by the bulk order, gave Raizel a discount and offered free delivery.

Raizel left the school's address and flew back.

By the time he returned, Erza had finished her class.

The children had returned to their classrooms for basic lessons, leaving only Erza and Ultear practicing on the playground.

Erza had already learned from Ultear where Raizel had gone.

Unaware of this, Raizel explained, "I just bought a batch of wooden swords and knives. They should arrive this afternoon."

He estimated that based on the speed of the owner's carriage, the timing should be perfect.

Erza nodded. "Good. I can take them through swordsmanship drills then."

"What's in the giant bag?" Ultear asked, eyeing the oversized sack on Raizel's back.

Raizel set it down gently. "While I was looking for the weapon shop, I realized this town doesn't have many treats. I thought I'd bring some back for everyone—bread, sweets, chocolates, strawberry cake, and the like."

"You call this 'some'?" Ultear remarked. It looked like he had cleared out an entire store.

"Haha, I ended up buying a bit too much." Raizel scratched his head awkwardly. "But these things aren't available here. If we want them, we have to go to the big city. Even though I fly fast, going back and forth is a hassle, right?"

Erza didn't mind the quantity at all.

As someone who often traveled with a cartload of luggage, she was unfazed.

Instead, she stared eagerly at the bag.

"Give me the cake! Quick! I haven't had any in days."

They had brought supplies on the trip, but having shared them with the children, their stock had run out quickly.

Erza had been disappointed for days after finding no cake shops in the local town.

Raizel handed a piece of strawberry cake to the impatient Erza and a chocolate cake to Ultear.

He had flown carefully on the way back, so the exquisite packaging remained undamaged.

"This is too much for just us. We should share with the children," Ultear suggested.

"That's exactly what I had in mind," Raizel agreed.

At noon, the trio turned the cafeteria into a feast.

They distributed the treats to three lines of eager children. Raizel took the opportunity to introduce himself properly.

Some of the boys, who had previously seen Raizel use his 'UlforceVeedramon' Take Over, couldn't stop talking about it, pestering him to show them again.

Raizel maintained a sense of mystery, promising he would demonstrate his magic during the next class.

...

The following day, Raizel faced his first class.

"Transform! Transform!" The neatly lined-up children were buzzing with excitement.

Erza, who commanded absolute authority, called for quiet, and the group promptly settled down.

With Erza, Ultear, and Jessica maintaining order—along with other teachers who were curious to see the famous mage in action—Raizel stepped back.

He successively used Take Over to transform into Jesmon, Omegamon, Dukemon, and Alphamon.

He cycled through almost his entire arsenal, leaving out only Examon and Gankomon.

To ensure everyone could see, he flew above them, circling the group.

Even Erza and Ultear were surprised; they realized for the first time just how many Take Over armors Raizel possessed.

They also felt the intense pressure radiating from Alphamon, who stood nearly six meters tall.

"So cool!" "Amazing!" "I want to do that too!"

As the children gazed up at the colossal figures, cheers erupted from below.

When Raizel landed and reverted to his human form, he was immediately swarmed.

Listening to their overlapping questions, Raizel couldn't help but blush.

Ultear and Erza smiled; it was the first time they had seen him look so flustered.

Erza coughed twice and clapped her hands. "Alright, everyone, back in line. Class is starting."

'The queen's dignity, indeed,' Raizel sighed inwardly as he watched the children obediently return to formation.

Afterward, Raizel led the physical training.

The session consisted of running laps—with the older children wearing leg weights—followed by horse stance training, pull-ups, and sit-ups.

It was a rigorous routine that would vary day by day.
