Chapter 3: The New Eldoria
While Ren and Yuki traveled, life in Eldoria was transforming. In the town of Tidehaven, Elara's healing school had expanded to include students from every corner of the world. Kael now led classes on the history of balance, teaching young people how to recognize the signs of corruption before it could spread.
"Your parents built a foundation," Kael said to Ren when he returned from the southern seas. "But what you're doing now—connecting us to the world—that's taking it to places they never could have imagined."
In the countryside, farms had changed too. Human farmers worked with Earthwardens to create soil that was rich and balanced, using techniques that prevented erosion and kept the land fertile. Vampire scholars worked with Skycallers to study the stars and predict weather patterns, helping farmers plan their crops more effectively.
But not all changes were easy. Some in Eldoria worried that their way of life was being lost, that too many outsiders were coming in and changing things. Yuki spent weeks traveling from town to town, mediating between those who wanted to preserve the old ways and those who embraced the new.
"Change doesn't mean forgetting where we came from," she told a group of elders in a mountain village that had resisted new trade routes. "It means building on what our ancestors gave us, making it stronger by sharing it with others."
She helped them create a cultural center where they could teach their traditional crafts to visitors, while also learning new skills from people across the world. Within months, the village was thriving—their handwoven blankets were being sold in lands as far as the floating mountains, and young people from the village were traveling to study with masters in other lands.
