Chapter 12 - Chapter 10 — Three Decades of Preparation

Thirty years.Three whole decades since the moment I opened my eyes beneath that yellow cloak in the forest.

It felt both like yesterday and an eternity ago.

Kamar-Taj was no longer just a sanctuary—it was a living, breathing institution. A small magical empire hidden from mortal eyes. The halls I carved from stone and shaped with spells now bustled with students at every hour. The crackle of energy, the hum of incantations, the sharp scent of incense and burnt mana filled the air like the heartbeat of the place.

My first generation of sorcerers—my earliest students, the ones I taught with my own hands—were now Masters. Each of them skilled, disciplined, and grounded enough to represent the Mystic Arts without tearing a hole in reality. Their power levels were exactly where I wanted them: strong, capable, but not timeline-threatening.

I had stationed a few of the best at each Sanctum:

London, protected by a brilliant ward specialist whose shields were nearly as strong as mine.

Gotham, guarded by a grim but loyal sorcerer who understood stealth and subtlety better than anyone else.

Hong Kong, led by a master of dimensional magic who ensured no stray demon or interdimensional parasite slipped through.

Kamar-Taj itself was now run by senior teachers—my second generation—who handled instruction so I didn't have to supervise every minor spell lesson. They taught the basics, the fundamentals, and even advanced combat magic.

Which meant…for the first time in thirty years…I was finally free.

Free to study.Free to explore.Free to dive into the endless magical chaos I had inherited from three lifetimes of mastery.

And I had so much to learn.

The combined knowledge of the Ancient One, Classic Loki, and Orochimaru never stopped growing inside me. Every day I refined their techniques, merging three entirely different magical systems into one cohesive art. A style that was uniquely mine.

I spent weeks buried in my infinite magical library, exploring spells from Agamotto, Morgan le Fay, Doctor Doom, Shuma-Gorath, and thousands more. I experimented, refined, created, and tested until my new techniques felt natural—effortless.

I strengthened the planet-wide barrier every year, reinforcing it from dimensional threats. Demons, spirits, eldritch horrors, stray interdimensional anomalies—none of them could breach my defenses now.

And as time continued its slow march forward…

I could feel it.

The world was shifting.

The faint ripple of destiny beginning to take shape.

Heroes would soon be born.Legends would soon awaken. The DC and Marvel fusion timeline was preparing itself for the rise of icons that I had only ever read about.

And me?

I was done preparing.

After thirty years, my sanctuary was stable, my Masters were capable, my network was complete.

For the first time since my reincarnation…

I could finally go out into the world. To explore. To observe. To meet the legends I had always admired from afar.

My story wasn't beginning anymore.

It was about to collide with destiny.
