In the end, they escaped Selene's traps and returned safely to the safehouse just before dark. 🌖 Ravihan thought that he should tell Feriha everything he remembered about the past as soon as possible; as he, Feriha, and Eric were being comfortably by the fireplace in the safehouse.
The room was quiet.
The rain tapped softly against the windows of the safehouse.
Feriha sat at the edge of the old sofa, her fingers tightening and loosening in her lap.
Eric remained beside her, silent, watchful.
Ravihan stood near the dim lamp, the light carving sharp shadows across his face.
He looked older tonight;not in age, but in memory.
Finally, he drew a long breath.
He finally spoke. 🔊
"This is what really happened… to your family, Feriha."
His voice was low, steady, but there was pain behind every word.
"I was nineteen back then," he said softly.
"A rookie officer… too young to understand the darkness in this city." ⬛
He glanced at Feriha.
"You were twelve.
Still a child. Still laughing.
Still running behind your parents whenever you got scared."
His eyes darkened.
"And your sister… just five.
A tiny thing with blue ribbons in her hair." 💠
"That night," Ravihan continued,
"your father came to the police station in a panic.
He told us someone had been watching your home.
Leaving marks on the gate… stones on the windowsill… a small drawing of a circle."
He clenched his jaw. 😬
"I didn't know it then—but it was circle's mark."
He closed his eyes, seeing it again. 😔
"I went with him.
But when we reached your house… everything went wrong."
"The power was out.
The windows were smashed.
There were two intruders inside;Observers from circles gang."
Ravihan's voice broke slightly. 〰
"Your mother was bleeding near the stairs… she tried to protect you girls."
He looked directly at Feriha.
"Your father fought like a lion. I ran in to help him.
But he pushed me away and shouted;
'Save my daughters! Go!'" 🛡
His breath shook.
"He died giving you a chance to live." 🔃
"I found you near the kitchen," Ravihan said gently.
"You had fainted from smoke.
Your hands were shaking… you kept whispering your sister's name." 💭
He looked away.
"But she wasn't there anymore..." 😣
