Chapter 9 - Are You an Immortal?

Since he'd transmigrated to Genshin Impact, why not get the Genshin Impact experience going?

Actually, it wasn't that Yun Han didn't want to personally explore the exciting world outside. It was because, at this very moment, he was at a critical juncture in his cultivation, on the verge of another major breakthrough!

That's right, the very instant he comprehended the Scroll of Time, it was as if he'd had a sudden enlightenment. He gained a deeper understanding of the path of cultivation, and his own cultivation base surged forward with the passage of time, breaking through several bottlenecks in a row.

And the next realm awaiting him was the coveted Golden Immortal stage! Achieving Golden Immortal status meant an endless lifespan!

However, the more important the breakthrough, the more cautious and stable one needed to be.

After all, improving one's realm wasn't something that could be done overnight. If he couldn't completely stabilize his new realm, he might leave behind hidden dangers for the future.

Therefore, although Yun Han yearned to go outside, he decided to calm his mind and fully consolidate his current realm, just to be safe. Only after everything was ready would he take action.

Yun Yan's orders from the main body were to go to Liyue Harbor after the teleportation array was set up, find a place to establish a base, and also learn about the current situation in Teyvat.

...

After setting up the teleportation array, Yun Yan applied several concealing arrays at the cave entrance: illusion arrays, maze arrays, and others to prevent accidental intrusions.

"Let's go," Yun Yan said, leading Xue Yue toward Liyue Harbor.

They weren't flying, fearing it would be too conspicuous and possibly attract the attention of Liyue's immortals or deities. They hadn't met before, and both sides were strangers. It wouldn't do to cause misunderstandings.

On the road, Yun Yan also encountered the monsters from Genshin Impact: Hilichurls. The smaller ones, wearing masks and wielding wooden clubs, had a Qi Condensation Stage aura. The larger, bull-headed Hilichurls were closer to the Foundation Establishment stage.

Within her spiritual sense, she even saw a giant Hilichurl King, whose aura was estimated to be at the Foundation Establishment stage. However, these monsters didn't emit any spiritual energy; instead, they were shrouded in strange black miasma, carrying a sense of cursed evil.

"Hey, don't run!"

Suddenly, a clear voice rang out. Yun Yan and Xue Yue turned their heads in the direction of the sound.

Suddenly, three wild boars burst from the nearby bushes, followed by a yellow blur.

A young girl, dressed in yellow and wielding a spear, was chasing after the boars, her eyes sparkling as if she had spotted a delectable treat.

One of the boars, panicked by the chase, veered towards Yun Han and Yun Yan.

"Watch out! Get out of the way!" The girl in yellow immediately saw Yun Han and Yun Yan and shouted urgently.

Yun Han remained calm and extended his right hand. The boar in front of them suddenly floated in mid-air, its limbs flailing as it squealed.

The young girl in yellow was taken aback, then quickly approached them.

"Hello, my name is Xiangling. I'm a chef. I was looking for ingredients just now and accidentally startled you. I'm so sorry," the girl said politely.

"No problem," Yun Han replied, shaking his head. Xue Yue, however, was hiding behind Yun Han, secretly watching Xiangling.

"Um…" Xiangling glanced at the wild boar still lurking in the air, then asked hesitantly, "Are you a Golden Immortal, by any chance?"

Yun Yan looked at Xiangling and suddenly asked curiously, "Does only a Golden Immortal have the ability to control objects like this?"

"Well… not exactly. It's just that I noticed you don't seem to have a Vision, yet you can still use techniques similar to magic." Xiangling explained.

"Vision?" Yun Yan was surprised; she hadn't expected this to be her basis for judgment.

"It's this." Xiangling pointed to an item hanging from her waist.

Yun Yan looked over and saw a square, red crystal hanging from her waist by a string.

Yun Yan sensed a strong fire elemental energy emanating from it.

"So, you manipulate spiritual energy and use skills through the Vision, huh." Yun Yan understood.

"I am an immortal, Yun Yan. This is my disciple, Xue Yue," Yun Yan said, pulling Xue Yue forward.

"H-hello," Xue Yue stammered, seeming shy. It was the first time she'd met someone other than her master, and the little girl was clearly uneasy.

"Wow, it really is an immortal! Hello, hello!" Xiangling, on the other hand, was ecstatic.

Yun Yan then handed the wild boar to Xiangling. Seeing her immediately process it and store it within her Vision, Yun Han realized that the device possessed storage capabilities.

Upon hearing that Yun Yan and Xue Yue were heading to Liyue Harbor, Xiangling excitedly offered to be their guide. The group then set off together.

"This is Liyue Harbor. The Geo Archon has protected Liyue for thousands of years, and it's thriving now. I work at the Wanmin Restaurant. Feel free to ask me anything you don't know," Xiangling explained.

It was an incredibly bustling street. From afar, the marketplace was filled with carriages and people, a scene of prosperity and vitality.

The sounds of various vendors hawking their wares and customers haggling filled the air, a constant and lively chorus. Amidst this bustling atmosphere, people joyfully indulged in the pleasures of shopping, and the entire street was permeated with a rich sense of everyday life.

Furthermore, a group of imposing soldiers clad in armor were patrolling the street. Their steps were steady and powerful, their expressions serious and solemn, always maintaining a high level of vigilance.

The presence of these soldiers brought a sense of security and peace of mind, while also adding a unique solemnity and reverence to the bustling street.

"Indeed, it's not bad," Yun Yan said with a touch of emotion, feeling the vibrant atmosphere of the mortal realm.

"Liyue these days is flourishing beyond measure. People live and work in peace, and their lives are quite comfortable," a steady voice suddenly spoke from beside them.

The group turned to look and saw a man in a brown robe walking towards them.

"Oh, isn't this Mr. Zhongli? Oh, perfect timing! I still have things to do, and Mr. Zhongli knows so much. You can ask him anything you don't understand," Xiangling said with surprise and then happily.

"Alright, thank you," Yun Yan nodded in thanks.

"Oh, don't mention it, don't mention it," Xiangling waved her hands quickly, then bid the two of them farewell.

"Perhaps we could find a different place to talk?" Zhongli said calmly.

Yun Yan felt a slight sense of pressure.

Liyue's god is indeed very strong! If measured by cultivation levels, the god before her at least possessed the cultivation of a True Immortal, maybe even higher.

"Of course, we'll do as you wish," Yun Yan nodded.

They arrived at a teahouse on the second floor, and Zhongli had someone bring a pot of tea.

"Where are you two from? And what brings you to Liyue?"

Zhongli's tone was still gentle and calm, but it gave Yun Yan the feeling that if she answered poorly, she'd likely get a beating.

"We come from the outer seas and aren't very familiar with the current affairs of the land. We came to Liyue Harbor just to find a place to settle down," Yun Yan said.

Beside her, Xue Yue silently hugged her teacup and sipped her tea, not daring to speak. She also sensed that the man in front of them was not to be trifled with, and she tried to make herself less noticeable.

After Yun Yan finished speaking, Zhongli looked at her deeply, then picked up his teacup and gently took a sip of tea. He spoke again, "I am somewhat familiar with Liyue. If you two are looking for a place to settle down, I can introduce you to a few options."

At this moment, Yun Yan felt the sense of pressure suddenly disappear, as if it had just been an illusion.
