Chapter 3 - The Seven Deadly Demons.

Chapter 03

Stepping into the flaming hotpool, Lust sighed, to the familiarity of the scorching heat,a not so gentle reminder of who he really is. A Demon and Lucifer's obedient dog. Nothing else.

He heard Wrath sigh beside him and was comforted by the thought that he's not the only one getting sentimental while returning to a place they have both been calling home.

Lucifer had summoned them to give account of the progress of their mission. But there hadn't been any progress at all.

After the night at the fresher's party, he had been avoiding Ashton because of shame. He had used hypnotising seduction on him after all, so how can he face him after that.

Which was why he had pushed him away before things got too far and they both crossed a boundary they can't return from.

He's the assignment too which means he's strictly off limits unless Lucifer says otherwise.

Arriving at the 'Claw Hall' which is their meeting place, he paused before sniffing at the air.

"Fucking hell". He muttered in horror.

"What's that?". Wrath asked him, seeing his face visibly pale.

"They are here, all of them". Lust revealed, speaking of the Seven Deadly Demons, well five technically since the two of them are excluded.

"Trust Lucifer to always go back on his words". The Demon of anger snorted, pissed as fuck.

"I clearly begged him not to summon them but apparently he didn't listen". Samiel revealed, a little bit upset.

"He never listens to anyone, I guess that's what he's trying to convey to you". Sariel observed, still angry but not surprised.

The Demon of Lust grunted in indignation, "It's ridiculous".

"Yeah, but we can't keep standing here, let's go in". Wrath reminded him.

Samiel nodded and followed after Wrath, trembling slightly with nerves.

"Pretty Sam and Rabid Sar are back guys, let's welcome them". Someone shouted addressing everyone in the room, their green eyes sparkling with wicked amusement, their equally green hair shining with heat.

'He probably just came back from fucking another widow after killing their partner, fucking envy' Lust thought with an internal grimace but his face was painted in a fake smile bracing himself while he awaited their 'welcome' already knowing that it's not going to be good.

And he was right.

Hot lava flowed from above pooling around him and Wrath, engulfing them in a searing painful flame of heat.

"Baptism of fire, huh". Sariel scoffed, clenching his fists tightly, anger threatening to boil over.

"We have to make sure you haven't forgotten your roots after spending a month with the humans". Someone said, their wide dark blue greedy eyes shifting in their sockets.

"Oh Sakiel, shut up. With people like you lurking around,we will definitely not forget". Lust scolded rolling his eyes. His demeanour is calm and unnerving to the core.

"That's good to hear, you mustn't forget who you truly are". Sakiel smiled, the calm threat hanging dangerously in the air.

Wrath fumed, still in the hot lava, unbothered and furious.

"Oh Lust, put your loyal dog in chains, he's about to bark". A Demon with ridiculous looking yellow hair and cat-like eyes of the same colour commented pointing at Sariel.

The sound of loud laughter echoed through the hall, as if someone just said something incredibly funny except for the mocking lilt in their voices, you would think so.

"That's funny for a prideful cat to say, isn't it Sayiel?". Lust mocked trying to calm Wrath and of course succeeding, not surprisingly. They've been loyal friends since forever, literally, being immortals. He's the only one who knows best how to calm him down.

But before anyone could say anything to counter him, an overwhelming pressure descended upon them, forcing them all to their knees except Lust, Glutton and Lazy who are immune to Lucifer's submissive force, being subs themselves but they still bowed in reverence. Though everyone is thinking why Lucifer must make grand entrances every single time. They definitely are a whore for attention.

"Stop the unnecessary bickering all of you". Their voices boomed, the sound of different vocals overlapping, giving a scary effect.

Lucifer is neither a male nor a female. They're just Lucifer the king of hell.

They appeared dripping with blood, a red liquid swirling in a transparent glass and that meant they just had their meal. Who's the unlucky poor soul that just served as their lunch.

"Saxiel, come here". Lucifer commanded and Lazy went to him, his steps naturally slow and hesitant. Wrath clenched his fists as he assessed the man, feeling anger boil in his blood at the faded marks on him.

"Send for Hades, tell him I summoned". He ordered addressing The Demon of laziness who nodded before glitching and disappearing.

Wrath clenched his teeth so tightly, his jaw might've snapped if not for Samiel's soothing presence.

Even glutton narrowed his eyes in worry and slight anger.

"Don't look at me like that, Sariel, he's not going to die". The emperor snickered, enjoying Wrath's discomfort and rage. The more furious he becomes, the better for them, until he finally snaps.

"Welcome back home the both of you, how's the mortal world treating you both, it must have been too cold there because you two have lost your fire". They smiled, saccharine sweet, the wicked glint in their eyes hinting at something evil.

"Thank you Lucifer, we're both fine". Lust responded, careful with his choice of words.

Lucifer nodded before settling themselves into the claw throne in the middle of the hall. Their eyes shifting in their sockets, calculating and articulate.

"Let's start, it will take a while for Saxiel and Hades to get here after they have taken care of their own needs". They leered provocatively, his calculative gaze on the demon of fury, gauging his reaction.

Wrath growled lowly, the anger seeping through his bones and simmering in his eyes which have turned a furious red in an all consuming rage. Glutton stood up but Lust darted a warning glance his way causing him to sit back down in resignation.

But Lucifer just laughed mockingly, relishing in their dissatisfaction.
