Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 Rejection from the World

Yuto was unaware that his actions had already caused ripples in another world.

However, even if he knew, he wouldn't react much. After all, popularity points were something he could always increase as long as he was alive.

The reason he left was because he saw that yellow figure on the street.

Over these past four hundred years, Yuto felt that he hadn't wronged many people.

Except for Miss Navia of the Spina di Rosula.

Looking at the young woman with bright yellow curly hair, Yuto softly called out:

"Navia? What are you doing here?"

Hearing that familiar voice, Navia abruptly turned her head and breathed a slight sigh of relief upon seeing Yuto sitting before her.

"It's you, Mr. Yuto."

"I just heard that the famous Traveler had arrived, so I came to take a look."

"My intuition tells me they can help me solve some tricky problems."

A smile appeared on Yuto's face as he listened to her unusually calm tone.

"Navia has grown up... She's much calmer than before."

"Are you comforting me...?"

Her azure eyes had, at some point, turned to Yuto, and he could see the sadness and bitterness hidden deep within them.

Seeing this, Yuto sighed softly and said:

"Navia... I am not here as the Assistant Administrator right now."

"Instead, I am here as Mr. Cares's friend, as an elder figure."

"Navia, I believe more than anyone that Mr. Cares did not... do such a thing."

"But even if I want to stop all of this, I need 'evidence'."

After saying this, Yuto sighed once more.

"Just as I analyzed with you back then, the reason Mr. Cares chose to duel directly was because he knew the rat hiding in the dark wouldn't be easy to catch."

"He wanted to protect you properly, so he gave up defending himself."

"Think carefully, Navia."

"In these past three years... have you found any evidence that could directly change the content of that year's Judgment?"

Hearing this, Navia lowered her head slightly and fell silent, while Silver, standing beside her, said with some worry:

"Miss Navia..."

Looking at the silent "Yellow Rose" before him, Yuto sighed once again.

"Leave everything to time. Trust your Father, trust yourself, trust... me."

"One day, what you are owed... will be returned to you a thousandfold."

With that, Yuto stood up and left without another word, leaving Navia sitting alone at the roadside table.

"Mr. Yuto..."

...

Although Yuto's position was Assistant Administrator, which at first glance seemed unrelated to Judgment.

This didn't mean he wouldn't participate in the Judgment process.

At every public Judgment, he would sit behind Furina with a small notebook, listening to the Judgment results and detailed cross-examination process, looking for loopholes in fontaine law.

Because of this, he and Neuvillette revised and added many laws, thereby reducing miscarriages of justice caused by unclear laws.

But then again, as one of Fontaine's three giants, Assistant Administrator Yuto naturally had the right and prestige to interfere with the Judgment process.

However... no matter how great the power or how strong the prestige, it needed a "justification."

As a Transmigrator, what Yuto remembered most vividly about Fontaine was not just Furina's five-hundred-year performance.

It was also Navia, standing before Neuvillette, with tears welling in her eyes.

"The Unjust Cares" and the "Serial Disappearance of Young Women" were always a thorn in his heart.

He really wanted to directly nip that beast named Vasher, later renamed Marcel, in the bud.

But when he heard that there was a leader called the "Prince" in the Abyss Order... he abandoned that idea.

The reason was simple: the existence of the "Prince" meant the arrival of the "Princess."

The history of this world, in his view, was a predetermined timeline. Once it converged... no one knew what would happen.

One could even say that if he changed history, Focalors's five-hundred-year plan would have a significant chance of coming to naught.

This was not what he wanted to see.

And for Fontaine to break The Prophecy... the "Indemnity Energy" generated by the "Serial Disappearance of Young Women" and "The Unjust Cares" cases was indispensable.

He couldn't just casually change history.

And this was only one aspect, a very small part of the reason.

To be honest, Yuto was the kind of person who, once he made up his mind, eight horses couldn't pull him back. Such a reason alone wouldn't be enough for him to give up.

What truly made him give up on this point was the rejection from the world itself.

When Vasher completely became an adventurer and went out exploring, Yuto had instructed the Melusine of the Marechaussee Phantom to keep an eye on him.

And he would also use his rare rest time to investigate everything related to him, trying to catch him red-handed and then directly take him to court.

But it was as if the world was against him; he could never meet Vasher.

The Melusine of the Marechaussee Phantom would also lose track or fail to obtain effective information for various reasons.

At this point, Yuto completely gave up on the idea of changing the timeline.

He understood that all of this was not a coincidence, but a rejection from the world.

All Yuto could do was become an observer—

—an observer who could make Navia less sad, an observer who could make Navia continue her investigation.

...

Back in his office, Yuto sat at his desk, his eyes quietly looking out the window at the sky.

"Sigh..."

After a long silence, Yuto released a sigh that contained a thousand words.

"It's almost over, Navia, just a little longer..."

Yuto murmured, then turned his gaze to the panel that had appeared beside him at some point.

"Task: 'Complete a conversation with Navia' has been completed. Rewards are being issued, please wait..."

"Reward: Delayed Popularity x800"

"Special Note: Since the character pool order does not change, the delayed popularity settled by Arlecchino's character PV has changed and is being calculated, please wait..."

"Current Popularity: 2000, with an additional 2200 delayed popularity pending settlement"

Looking at the panel before him, Yuto sighed slightly.

"I hope by then... I can make that story even more complete, right...?"

"Detecting an impending additional relationship, popularity exchange plan has changed, please check promptly."

"Additionally, some real-world footage has been saved, please check promptly."

Yuto frowned slightly, looking at the panel that had just disappeared and then suddenly reappeared.

"Hmm? What's going on?"
