Rick was back in the council chamber with his bonded partners and the Mage Council representatives before the sun had even risen over Valdris.
Fredrich stood at the head of the table with his usual calm look on his face. Zephyra sat across from him with her baby sleeping soundly in a sling against her chest.
Rick saw that even though it was early in the morning, Zephyra looked as sharp and awake as ever. "My god... I can't stop looking at how beautiful Zephyra is."
"Will I be a dick by cucking Heinz...? There's no fucking way that our spirit bond is going to have some intimate moments, right?"
