The creature's body started to change again to adapt their strategy. It grew to fourteen feet tall, and its muscles bulged with stolen strength.
Spikes of hardened corruption shot out of its back, making a defensive wall that made fighting up close very dangerous. It healed faster, with wounds closing almost as quickly as they were made.
"It's... adapting too fast!" Natasha yelled, and her analytical mind had already figured out the problem. "At this rate, it'll be able to fight off our attacks before Spirit Unity runs out!"
Rick's mind was racing. They needed a strategy that would target the corruption at its weakest point, preventing it from adapting.
As an idea came to him, his demon eye got brighter.
"Zara!" Rick yelled. "Please keep it busy for ten seconds!"
