Author's Note
Hello friends, this is Charly.
I just finished uploading two new chapters, which makes a total of four chapters published of my main fanfic: *Total Drama: A New Cody*.
I want to take this note to clarify some important points about continuity, the publishing rhythm, and certain aspects of the story that have raised questions or comments.
---
Will the story continue?
The answer is yes.
Although I have received some negative comments, the number of people who have started following the story in just one week is very high. That confirms to me that there is real interest.
I mainly write for myself, because I enjoy the creative process, but seeing so many readers join in motivates me even more to keep sharing. So there is no doubt: I will continue publishing.
---
Publishing rhythm
I admit I have the bad habit of being irregular. My basic commitment is to upload one or two chapters per week, but my writing style tends to be more intense:
- Each chapter averages 3,000 words.
- Sometimes I write much more. For example, I have published 11 chapters in a single week, keeping that same word count average or even higher.
- After those writing marathons, I usually take breaks of up to 15 days to clear my mind. It is not abandonment, but rather a way to recover concentration and creative energy.
In summary: my promise is a minimum of 1–2 chapters per week, but you may receive much more content in short periods, followed by the necessary pauses.

About the protagonist's abilities
Some readers have commented that the story feels "strange" because of the blessings or powers of the character. I want to explain in more detail:
- **Human peak:**
It does not mean he becomes a giant of 2 meters. It is an internal and functional improvement: faster metabolism, elimination of deficiencies (no asthma, no intolerances), better immune system, and accelerated recovery.
It is like a "super soldier serum," but without side effects on personality. This allows him to do extraordinary things because his body can handle it.
Example: he could sleep only two hours a day and still function well, or have motor speed that lets him perform tricks that look magical.
His height (185 cm / a little over 6 feet) is designed to be functional, not monstrous. I do not want an imposing character like "The Mountain" from *Game of Thrones*, but someone strong yet practical.
- **Improved intelligence:**
I did not make him an absolute genius like Reed Richards, but someone with an IQ of 190, a little above Sheldon Cooper. He has superior memory, speed of thought, and analytical ability, but without losing humanity.
- **Reinforced empathy:**
This is the most important ability. His intelligence does not turn him into a "second Sheldon" unable to relate. Empathy keeps him human, helps him manage relationships, and prevents him from becoming a cold or isolated character.

About the name "Leo"
Many wonder why I do not use "Leonard" all the time.
- In my country, "Leonard" is an easy name to make fun of. Even in the series, Leonard jokes about how uncomfortable his name is.
- That is why I prefer "Leo": it keeps the connection with the original, but is stronger and more positive. In Spanish, "Leo" is associated with the lion, and in English with "Lion." It is a symbol of evolution: no longer a fearful nerd, now someone with more confidence.
- It is not a total identity change, but a natural shortening of the name that reflects growth.

Realism within the fantastic
I know it may seem contradictory to talk about realism when the story includes powers and a harem, but my intention is to give it emotional coherence.
If any of us woke up in a world practically identical to ours, there would be three possible reactions:
1. Constant trauma and fear: living with paranoia of being discovered.
2. Superficial acceptance: living without thinking, as in many Chinese novels, acting proudly and without consequences.
3. Progressive escalation: gradually accepting the new reality and working through it with effort.
My protagonist follows the third option. Similar examples can be seen in stories like *Re:Monster* or *Rimuru*. I want his relationships and decisions to feel human and justified, even with powers.

Writing process
To give you an idea:
- Each chapter begins as a "skeleton" of about 300 words that I then expand.
- The 9 previous chapters came from 5 outlines of another fanfic I have saved.
- Currently I have 114 outlines ready on my laptop, which serve as a base to continue developing the story.
This means there will be moments where I describe more than necessary. I do not do it to fill space, but because I like things to have clear steps and narrative coherence.
---
Central themes of the story
My main focus is not just action or powers, but:
- Human relationships.
- The grudges and problems Leonard left behind that the protagonist will resolve.
- The new dynamic between the protagonist and each character.
- The development of secondary characters who did not receive enough attention in the original work.
Aspects like money or academic achievements will appear, but they will not be the focus. What matters is that they happen, more than how.

Next steps
From now on I begin writing the next chapters.
I will probably upload one tomorrow night, although it could be earlier. This note will be deleted once I publish the next chapter.
If you want to leave comments, questions, or discuss the character, you can do so in any chapter, even in this note. I read and respond.

Final words
Thank you for reading me. I greatly appreciate the support. I hope you enjoy the story. And if not, help me find *The Big Bang Theory* fanfics that you do enjoy. In the West I have not found many long and good ones; the closest have been Chinese.
