As she turns around she was stunned to see her best friend waving at her.
Her best friend ran straight to her and hugged tightly her. She said"Hey ! Long time no see ! Did you miss me?" with a cheerful smile on her face.
"Emma ?! What are you doing here?! I thought you had an exchange program !" Rachel said with a bit shocked expression written all over her face.
"Oh!....It just finished not long ago."replied Emma as cheerful as ever.
"I see."said Rachel nodded her head.
"What? You ain't happy to see me?"said Emma with a cute , angry and upset pout formed on her face while having her hands on her hips.
"No...I am happy to see you.
I was just shocked that you're actually back so soon. I thought the program might take longer to finish."said Rachel with nonchalant expression.
"Good !"said Emma with her head held high with pride and her hands still on her hips.
"I also thought it might take longer to finish as well , but turns out it was really quick."said Emma as she continues her sentence while shrugging her shoulders.
And after that,she also continues her sentence by saying
"Why ? Did you not miss me ?"said Emma with a sad pout on her face.
"No...I do miss you quite a bit."said Rachel as she reassure her best friend.
Emma face lit up with happiness and said "Yay ! I knew you would miss me ! "with a cheerful smile as she pulled Rachel in for a hug.
Rachel thoughts :
(Then why do you still ask me)with a unamused expression on her face.
Later...
"Ok,ok that's enough.
Personal space please."said Rachel as she trys to gently push Emma off.
"Oh,Right! Oops,sorry! I almost forgot that you dislike getting hugged."said her best friend as she pulls herself away from the hug and knocked her head gently.
"It's ok."said Rachel as she nodded, accepting her best friend apology.
After that,Emma kept telling Rachel many stories while she was at the new school for an exchange program.She kept talking on and on nonstop while they were walking into the school gate.
After they arrive at the school grounds,Rachel parks her bike at the school bike shelter since it was provided.
Then,the two girls continue to make their way to the school hall for an assembly while Emma was talking and Rachel just listened.
As they're making their way,they spotted two of their friends talking to each other.
Suddenly, Emma calls out to them
"Hey,Asher ! Tyler ! Over here! "said Emma with a cheerful smile while waving at them.
The two boys turned around and saw the two girls, one of them is waving at them while the other seems to be very tired and wants to get school over with.
"Ah! Rachel ! and...
Emma!?" said Asher with a shocked expression.
"She back!?"said Asher as he continues his sentence a really shocked expression.
He hurriedly pulled Tyler with him and ran towards the two girls.
After that
"Your back!?"said Asher with a happy , exited and shocked expression.
"Yep !"replied Emma with her head held high with pride.
"Welcome back."said Tyler with a slight smile.
"Mhm ! It's good to be back ! "replied Emma cheerfully.
Then,the two boys greeted Rachel with a good morning which earned them a nod from the girl.
After that,Asher kept asking about her journey in the exchange program at the new school which Emma replied enthusiastically with a smile on her face.
After that,all of them continue walking towards the school hall.
