A year and a half later…
Derivan, Ronibo, and Ranika continued their journey.
"So where are we going now?" Derivan asked.
"To the kingdom of Ozoro. There are certain people there who will definitely be happy to see you."
The teenager merely raised an eyebrow but said nothing more. Soon, the group arrived in Ozoro.
"Wow, so this is the kingdom of Ozoro," Derivan said, impressed by how the city looked.
"He was just a baby the last time he was here, so it's no wonder he doesn't remember" Ronibo thought.
"Is something wrong?"
"No, nothing. I just felt nostalgic seeing this place. Let's go visit the king."
The three of them headed to the king's palace, and after receiving permission, they entered his study.
"Greetings, old man."
"Ronibo! It's been a long time since we last saw each other."
"I brought a special guest," Ronibo said, introducing his student. The king was surprised by the boy's appearance.
"Derivan, this is the king of Ozoro. His name is Koren."
"He looks exactly like Matomiro… could he be…?"
"Yes, he is his son, Yashimiro."
"Unbelievable. I thought he had died."
"Tell me, are they in the city?"
Koren nodded. "Yes. They will surely be happy to see him."
"Who are you talking about?" Derivan tilted his head, confused.
"You'll see," Ronibo said.
Ronibo led his student to an apartment. "This house has changed a bit."
"Why did we come here, and whose apartment is this?"
"Wait a moment." Ronibo knocked on the door.
After a moment, a woman appeared in the doorway " Ronibo? What a surprise."
"Hello, Mozalia. It's been years."
"Please, come in. What brings you here?"
"You see, I brought someone you definitely wouldn't expect. Derivan, please come closer." Before entering, Ronibo introduced his student to Mozalia.
Time seemed to stop for the woman the moment she saw the teenager. Tears instantly filled her eyes.
"Yashimiro… is that you?"
"How do you know my name?"
"Because I gave it to you."
Now it was Yashimiro who was shocked. Suddenly, he remembered the woman who had been with Laura and the other girl in the town of Silono.
"Are you my…?" Derivan couldn't finish. Tears welled up in his eyes.
"Yes. I am your mother."
Derivan couldn't hold back anymore and threw himself into his mother's arms. "MOM! I always wanted to meet you. I thought I was an orphan and had no family," he said through sobs.
"It's alright now. But you've grown so much you're strikingly similar to your father."
"Really?"
"Like two drops of water."
At that moment, Kira came downstairs. "Mom, what was all that screaming?"
"Come here, Kira. Meet Yashimiro he's your brother," Mozalia introduced her son to her daughter.
Kira stared at Yashimiro in shock. "Really?"
Mozalia simply nodded in response.
"Hi" Derivan didn't finish, because Kira ran up to him and threw her arms around his neck.
"Brother…"
"Hey, get off me, you'll knock me over."
"Sorry… I'm just so happy I can finally meet you."
"Yashimiro, come with me. I want to show you something."
Mozalia led her son to another room.
"This place… is it…?"
"That's right. It's your room. It's been waiting for you all this time."
Derivan stood speechless, looking at his room, which contained a bed and various toys.
"I never changed anything, because I believed that one day you would return."
"Thank you, Mom."
"You probably need some time alone, so we'll be in the living room," Mozalia said as she and Kira left Yashimiro alone in his room.
"So this is my room…" Derivan still couldn't believe he was in his true family home.
After looking around his room for a while, Derivan returned to his mother and sister.
"Everything okay?"
"Yes. I just needed to process all this information."
"I understand. Kira, why don't you show your brother around the city while I talk with Ronibo?"
"Sure." Kira and Yashimiro went for a walk around the city, while Mozalia turned to Ronibo.
"So you were the one training Yashimiro?"
"That's right."
"Did Matomiro ask you to do it?"
"Not exactly. One day the kid came to me himself and asked me to train him, so I agreed. Not just because he's Matomiro's son, but because he genuinely interested me," Ronibo explained, telling her about what happened in the town of Silono.
"So Yashimiro was there back then… it's a shame we couldn't meet."
Ronibo spoke about how Laura had protected Yashimiro. Mozalia looked surprised by this news.
"I see… so Laura died…" Mozalia walked over to the window, gazing at the sky. "Laura… I'm proud of you."
"Are you alright, Mozalia?"
"Yes. Thank you for telling me."
Meanwhile, Kira was showing her brother around the city, telling him about what they had both been doing over the years.
"This city is amazing," Derivan admitted.
"Well, Ozoro has developed a lot over the past few years. It used to be just an ordinary city."
"I see. Kira, could you take me to our father's grave? I'd like to visit him."
"Of course."
The siblings went to the cemetery. It didn't take long to find Matomiro's grave. Derivan stared at it for a long while.
"Father… I really wish I could see you. Forgive me for not being able to save Laura, but I promise I'll do everything in my power to protect Kira and Mom" the teenager said silently.
Kira noticed Yashimiro clenching his shaking fists.
"Hey, are you okay?"
The teenager turned toward his sister. "Yeah. I just remembered something important. It's getting late we should head back home."
"You're right."
At the same time, in a completely different place, a mysterious figure wearing a purple hooded cloak began slaughtering all the inhabitants.
"RUN!"
"HELP!"
As the villagers were being brutally murdered, a little girl hid behind a building, managing to catch a glimpse of the attacker's face. Unfortunately for her, he noticed her. The young girl immediately started running.
"Her turn will come too, sooner or later."
