The shadows seem to be closing in around me again. Every conversation with Henderson feels like I'm walking through a minefield. I want to be patient, to show understanding, but she has to realize that her father murdered people who mattered to this pack. Those wounds don't just heal because time has passed.
I hadn't expected so many warriors to request early acceptance of Henderson as their Luna. What caught me off guard was finding them gathered downstairs, waiting for her when we descended this morning. I'd been completely unaware that pack members were struggling with their wolves, that the animals were beginning to doubt their own capabilities.
