Henderson's POV
The bone-chilling howls pierce through the dawn air, sending ice through my veins. This marks the second alarm since I stepped foot in Percy's territory. The third since my birthday celebration. Back home, our pack rarely faced such threats - maybe three attacks in my entire lifetime. Yet here, danger seems to stalk us relentlessly.
"Henderson, get to safety now," Percy commands, his voice sharp with urgency. He launches himself from our bed, throwing the door wide before vaulting over the banister. His body shifts mid-air, landing on four paws as he races toward the front entrance. My father, brother, Aaron, Alpha Damon, and Coco stream after him in a blur of movement.
I dress quickly, my fingers fumbling with buttons as adrenaline floods my system. Racing into the hallway, I spot my mother and Anastasia hurrying toward me.
"Anastasia?" The question tumbles out. She's a seasoned warrior, trained for combat. Her absence from the battle confuses me.
