Percy's POV
"She's still sleeping?" Luna Dorothy enters the hospital room, her footsteps soft against the polished floor.
"Yes, but I can feel her mind becoming more active. She's starting to surface," I respond, gazing down at Henderson who remains curled against me. Moving her isn't an option. She needs my arms around her, and honestly, I need to hold her just as much.
"She might be getting a little too comfortable in that position. Henderson needs to wake up and get some food into her system," Dorothy says with a knowing smile, approaching to examine her daughter.
I lift my eyes to meet those of the woman who altered the entire trajectory of my existence decades ago. "Thank you for keeping her alive."
Her expression softens. "You don't owe me gratitude for doing what comes naturally. Healing is my calling, just as it's Henderson's. We both excel at it, though I suspect when she completes medical school, she'll surpass even my abilities."
