Percy's POV
I stayed with the pack for hours, celebrating Deryl and Kristen's newfound mate bond. The festivities continued long after the couple disappeared upstairs, and the energy radiating from everyone was infectious. This kind of pure joy was foreign to me, something I had never experienced in my broken pack. Without Henderson by my side to help me process these overwhelming emotions, I felt strangely adrift.
Ezekiel approached me as the celebration began to wind down. "I need to head back tomorrow, Alpha Percy. Now that I know Kristen is safe and happy, my pack needs me. But you have my number if you ever need anything. I also want you to know that you and Henderson are always welcome in my territory. You're not just my sister's mate anymore, you're family, and we're allies now."
His words carried weight I hadn't expected. "Thank you. When everything settles down, maybe Henderson and I can visit properly. Not like last time. I think she would love that."
