Then suddenly I heard someone call out from a nearby stall.
"Free gummies!"
My attention shifted immediately.
I looked toward the voice.
A beta man stood behind a colorful stand filled with trays of candy. Bright lights surrounded the stall, and a huge banner hung above him.
GO CRAZY GUMMIES
The name alone made me suspicious.
"Our Go Crazy Gummies are to die for!" the man announced proudly, waving a small sample tray in the air. "Try one and feel like you're in heaven!"
What?
Why was he advertising gummies like they were illegal substances?
And what kind of name was Go Crazy Gummies anyway?
Who named that company?
Surely someone in that company meeting must have said, maybe we should rethink this but apparently not.
"Try our free gummies!" he continued enthusiastically. "One taste and you'll buy a whole pack!"
Now I was curious. How good could a gummy possibly be? I glanced over at my friends.
