Chapter 6 - The Mighty Arceus

"Curse?" Reinh looked at the Ancestral Dragon with cold eyes. This was the first time he had heard about a curse.

But to his surprise, the Ancestral Dragon did not say anything more. It ignored his question. Its cold eyes slowly returned to their arrogant and prideful state.

It moved closer to him and floated in the air just a short distance away from his face.

"Do you think the gods would leave such a dangerous talent without control? They placed a very powerful curse on it, and the only way to break it is by dying."

Reinh's eyes moved slightly, but he did not look too surprised. Considering how powerful the Star of Eternal Ruins was, it was natural that the gods would place such a curse on it.

"The conditions for breaking the curse are impossible. But you have no curse on you, and that means the curse was broken. How did you break it?" the dragon asked with some curiosity.

The Star of Eternal Ruins had many different owners throughout history. All of them tried everything they could to break the curse so they could use the full power of the star.

The Ancestral Dragon never believed breaking the curse was possible. To break it, you had to die once. Death was death, and there was no way to return from it.

But this human had no curse on him. And the fact that it could even create a miniature spiritual form for itself meant the star could work with full power.

"I have no idea," Reinh answered coldly, however he already knew the answer.

In simple terms, he had died once and returned to life. If the requirement for breaking the curse was dying once, then he had already met that condition.

"You don't want to tell me what the curse is?"

In response to his question, the Ancestral Dragon became silent again and preferred not to speak. Or maybe it had no choice but to stay silent for now.

When Reinh saw that the dragon did not want to talk, he did not say anything more and did not care. He stood up quietly. He was only wearing pants and had no other clothes on.

His body smelled a little. Considering he had slept for two full days, it was natural. He walked toward the bathroom to wash himself.

The Ancestral Dragon realized it was being ignored and frowned. It followed the human all the way to the bathroom.

"Seriously? You don't have more questions? Like what the Star of Eternal Ruins actually is? How you can use all of its power? Or I don't know, how you can become the strongest?! You are the only one who has managed to break the curse, and you want to waste this chance like this!"

"What is your name?" Reinh asked, but his question was completely unexpected for the dragon.

"Haha, you finally remembered to ask this great one's name? My name is the Mighty Arceus!"

"Arceus, then do me a favor and stay a little farther away from me," Reinh said without any emotion and continued washing.

After finishing his bath, he changed his clothes and walked toward the palace library.

The Tyrant Palace had a very large library that had a complete archive of historical books, swordsmanship skills, warrior techniques, and even some alchemy and magic techniques.

During the last ten years, he had read a large part of these books and learned their knowledge completely. Some books were completely useless, and some of them were actually very helpful.

Especially the history books. In his past life, he did not have full knowledge of his world's history, and in some situations it had caused him trouble.

Now that his body was weak, the best thing to do was to study until he could return to physical training. Even though he was crazy about getting stronger, he was not stupid.

If he started training again right now, it could cause injuries that would be dangerous in the long term.

Unfortunately, there was an annoying problem.

"Human, do you really want to do something boring like reading? We will lose a lot of time like this," Arceus complained while flying above his head like a mosquito.

"Is there a way for me to deactivate you?"

"That was a good joke. But I was serious."

"I was serious too."

Arceus felt a headache coming. This was the first time he saw such a stubborn, hard-headed, and narcissist human, and his recent words made Arceus even more angry.

"I also want to become stronger as fast as possible. I want to reach the peak as soon as I can and cover the world with blood," Reinh suddenly said coldly. Madness and bloodlust filled his eyes, and for a moment a strong killing intent came out of his body.

Even Arceus, as the oldest dragon, frowned for a moment when he saw this madness and bloodlust. He had only seen this level of bloodlust in the most ancient Noble Demon.

How could a mortal human have such bloodlust?

"But some stupid laws are limiting me," Reinh continued, and then all the madness and bloodlust disappeared as if they had never existed.

"So you are saying some stupid laws are stopping you?" the dragon said with mockery.

"Nothing can stop me. Especially some stupid laws," Reinh said with a mocking look in his eyes and spoke with indifference.

Arceus looked at him and became a little surprised. It seemed this human was planning to do something crazy again.

"Oh, young master, you are here!" suddenly a beautiful female voice echoed, catching both their attention.

Lia walked toward them while holding a tray, a beautiful smile on her face. She passed right by Arceus as if she did not see it at all, and placed the tray in front of Reinh.

"When did you come here? I searched the whole palace for you. Anyway, your soup is ready."

Reinh looked at the bowl of soup in front of him. He could see the heads of three chickens inside the bowl. His expression did not change, and he only nodded as thanks.

"Oh right, Mr. August has also returned, and he told me he brought the thing you asked for," Lia said happily after seeing that her young master looked satisfied.

"Tell him to wait for me in the yard. I will go to him soon." Reinh waved his hand, and after bowing, Lia left the place.

"You are really lucky to have such a maid. In those two days you were unconscious, she did not leave your side even for a moment," Arceus said lazily after watching her leave.

"I know. I don't deserve her," Reinh answered without emotion, but a special wave of feelings appeared in his eyes.

The dragon was surprised by the human's answer. In this short time, he had learned that this human was a narcissist, arrogant, cold, and emotionless man who placed himself and his goals above everything.

But it seemed he had another side too.

Countless memories from his past life replayed in Reinh's mind. All of them were about Lia. In his past life, she had taken the place of a mother for him. She protected him and took care of him.

In that life, his situation was far worse than now. Because he was known as talentless and a bastard child, he was hated and rejected by everyone in the Clan.

This hatred also targeted Lia, and she suffered greatly because of it. And even worse, because Reinh hated his own family, his mother, and himself, he had treated Lia terribly during that time.

In the end, he was exiled from the clan, and he and Lia were separated. For years he heard nothing about her until he heard news of her suicide.

Just thinking about it made madness and bloodlust return to his eyes again. He was not stupid enough to believe her death was a simple suicide.

"Anyway, what did you want that human to bring you?" Arceus changed the topic.

"Something that will let me reach my goal without breaking the laws," Reinh said as he finished the last spoon of his soup.
