By the end of the day the AI had reached a profit rate of 70%.
This was a good sign that the upper limit was pretty high.
Once I finished adding the analyzed data to the set I went to sleep. I had an exciting day planned for tomorrow after all.
…
Saturday the 11th of October.
Early the next morning I got up and got ready to go mountain biking.
That involved getting a water bottle. I do have a water backpack but I have had it for so long that the bladder in it has gotten slimy and nasty, so I don't use it any more.
Checking the air pressure on my tires. Both were decently flat. I grabbed the air pump and refilled the tires and then gave them a quick spin. I have tubeless tires on, so I have to make sure the fluid inside doesn't get stagnant or they won't work.
The bike itself was a graduation present I got for graduating high school. Well technically I bought it for myself with the money my family gave me for graduating.
I honestly didn't even know you got graduation gifts, so it came as a real surprise for me when my family gave me so much money just for that.
Anyway, now that I have everything ready I have some time to spare.
I go into my office to check on the AI.
The overnight growth hit a record high at 77%. I feel like it is getting ready to hit the level where I can use it for real.
A very exciting prospect. But that will have to wait until tomorrow.
Adding the analyzed data then waiting for an hour while I got some food.
…
1 hour later.
I checked on the progress of the AI.
With the boost from the data the AI reached 79%.
I will start using it for real tomorrow but that comes with a lot of work that I could start right now.
I woke up around 6 and I have to leave around 12:30, so I have about 5 hours to kill.
First things first, I have to create a new bank account for stock trading.
A stock trading bank account is a brokerage account, which is a type of investment account for buying and selling stocks.
It is typically only offered by brokerage firms but my bank has a brokerage sector. So I can use my current bank to expedite the process since they have all of the necessary documents that would be required.
They still need a 24 hour holding period for confirmation but that is not a problem.
So I pull up my bank account and start the process of applying for a brokerage account.
It goes smoothly but it does take a bit of time.
…
5 hours later, I have done everything that I can for the brokerage account and the AI.
Now it is time to leave.
When I grabbed my phone I saw another text from Erik, "Avoid downtown…protest starts at 2."
I probably would have left sooner if I had known that little piece of information.
Now I have to drive even further out of my way to get there.
So, I go and gather my things, backpack, biking shoes, and the bike itself. If you are wondering about the helmut it is attached to the backpack. Along with my polarized glasses safely tucked away in their case.
Once I get outside I find myself another problem.
I don't have the bike rack on the car.
Well I am going to be late.
I can only try to put it on as fast as possible.
…
I was able to get it on in 2 minutes so not a big deal.
Throwing my stuff into the car and my bike on the rack, I set off.
I have to take 2 detours because on one side I have the fall festival and now I have to also deal with a protest.
My only option is to take the back roads all the way around to get to Erik's house.
It is a bit of a drive around the farm land and wooded hills but I do find the drive to be quite enjoyable.
I just crank up the radio, roll my window down, and put on my sunglasses.
I really am rolling in style.
…
A casual 35 minute drive around the countryside later.
I pull up at my uncle's house.
Erik's house is a normal house for the area.
It is a 4 bedroom 2 and a half bathroom. Has a kitchen, living room, formal dining room, and because he is a bachelor a billiards room.
His house really is the dream of any self respecting bachelor. The other bedrooms have been made into a home office, a workout room, and a guitar room.
His house also has a 2 car garage that he turned into a dream work shop and car detailing studio.
Yeah, my uncle has money. Despite living in a normal suburban house, driving a normal car.
He has literal millions in his bank account.
Well, they are in investments, because he is not foolish.
Erik works as a data analyst for the bank. He is a director that has been offered management positions but has turned them down every time. Simply because he doesn't want to be in charge of people, or deal with office politics.
A truly reasonable decision. I wouldn't be able to put up with them at all. Hence why I am currently unemployed.
I just don't have the patience to put up with people's stupidity or their nonsense.
Just do your job, don't BS me. Dang.
Anyway I can only talk in my head so much before I start holding people up.
I get out of the car and unload all of my things before heading up Erik's driveway.
I notice that he has his bike already on his bikerack ready to go.
Which is good news for me because it means I don't have to drive this time.
Once I get to the top he greets, "Hey dude, are you ready?"
