Chapter 1 - origin

My name is Andrew Midoriya—twin brother of Izuku Midoriya.

Now, you might be wondering… "How does Izuku suddenly have a twin brother?"

Well… I don't know either.

One day, I just woke up in this body. And wouldn't you know it? That same day, we had our Quirk evaluation.

Turned out… neither of us had a Quirk.

Yeah, talk about getting isekai'd into a superhero world without powers.

It sucked. Bad.

But I got over it.

See, I came from a world where My Hero Academia was fiction. A manga. An anime. I knew how this story was supposed to go. And I knew that being quirkless in this world was basically a death sentence for your dreams.

But here's the thing

I wasn't just Andrew Midoriya. Somehow, when I was reborn, I got something extra. Peter Parker's natural IQ. His knack for science, engineering, problem-solving.

So while Izuku threw himself into hero analysis, documenting every Quirk and technique he could find, I threw myself into something else: science.

If I couldn't be born strong, I'd make myself strong.

Scene: Midoriya Household - Morning

INKO (calling from the kitchen):

"Andrew! Izuku! Breakfast is ready! You'll be late for school!"

Andrew sits at his desk, surrounded by disassembled electronics—an old radio, a broken phone, a toy robot. He's got a magnifying glass in one hand and a soldering iron in the other.

ANDREW (muttering to himself):

"If I reroute the circuit board here and bypass the capacitor…"

IZUKU (poking his head in):

"Still taking things apart?"

ANDREW (not looking up):

"Still putting them back together, actually. Check it out."

He presses a button. The toy robot's eyes light up and it takes a jerky step forward.

IZUKU (impressed):

"You fixed it! That thing's been broken for years!"

ANDREW (grinning):

"It's all about understanding how the parts work together. Anyway, we should get going. Mom's going to kill us if we're late."

Andrew quickly packs his school bag—textbooks, notebooks, and a small toolkit he never leaves home without.

Scene: Walk to School

The twins walk side by side through the morning streets. Izuku clutches his hero analysis notebook (Volume 13), while Andrew has a science journal tucked under his arm.

IZUKU:

"You excited about the field trip today?"

ANDREW:

"Shield Laboratories? Yeah, actually. They're doing cutting-edge work with support gear and bio-engineering. Could be interesting."

IZUKU:

"I hope we see some hero equipment! Maybe All Might's gear, or

ANDREW:

"Izu, All Might doesn't use gear. His Quirk does all the work."

IZUKU (deflating slightly):

"Right. Yeah. I knew that."

Andrew glances at his brother, feeling a pang of sympathy. He knows what's coming—knows that Izuku will eventually meet All Might, inherit One For All, become a great hero.

But Andrew? He's not part of that story. At least, not the way it was written.

ANDREW (thinking):

I know how this world works. I know the plot, the villains, the heroes. But I'm not supposed to be here. I'm an anomaly.

So what do I do? Sit back and let everything play out as I remember?

Or do I find my own path?

Scene: Aldera Middle School - Classroom

Their homeroom teacher stands at the front, holding a stack of permission slips.

TEACHER:

"Alright, class. As you know, today we're taking a field trip to Shield Laboratories. Remember—this is an educational experience. Stay with your groups, don't touch anything without permission, and represent Aldera well."

BAKUGO (scoffing from his seat):

"Tch. What a waste of time. I don't need some nerd lab to tell me how to be a hero."

ANDREW (under his breath):

"No, you just need an attitude adjustment."

Bakugo's head snaps toward Andrew.

BAKUGO:

"What was that, Deku Number Two?"

ANDREW (calmly):

"Nothing. Just thinking out loud."

BAKUGO:

"You think you're funny? You're quirkless trash, just like your brother."

Andrew doesn't rise to the bait. He's dealt with Bakugo's attitude for years now. It's exhausting, but fighting back only makes things worse.

IZUKU (quietly):

"Just ignore him, Andrew."

ANDREW:

"Always do."

Scene: Shield Laboratories - Tour Begins

The class arrives at a massive, sleek facility. The Shield Corporation logo gleams above the entrance. Inside, the lobby is filled with holographic displays showcasing support gear, medical technology, and bio-engineering projects.

A tour guide—a young woman in a lab coat—greets them with a bright smile.

TOUR GUIDE:

"Welcome to Shield Laboratories! I'm Dr. Yamamoto, and I'll be your guide today. We're going to show you some of the most cutting-edge technology in hero support!"

The class follows her through various labs. Andrew takes detailed notes, his mind racing with possibilities. Izuku does the same, but his focus is on how the tech could help heroes.

DR. YAMAMOTO:

"And now, our bio-engineering division. This is where we study how Quirks interact with biology at a cellular level. We're even researching ways to enhance natural abilities through genetic markers."

She gestures to a sealed chamber containing various specimens—plants, insects, small animals.

DR. YAMAMOTO (cont'd):

"For example, these fifteen spiders have all naturally developed Quirks. We're studying their venom, web production, and sensory abilities to create new support tech."

BAKUGO (loudly):

"Spiders? What a joke. Who cares about bugs?"

DR. YAMAMOTO (frowning):

"Actually, arachnid biology has led to several breakthroughs in adhesive technology and—"

BAKUGO:

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever."

Andrew studies the spiders with fascination. Each one is different—some glow faintly, others have unusual colorations.

ANDREW (thinking):

Quirked spiders. That's… actually incredible. Imagine what you could learn from their biology.

The group moves on, but Andrew lingers for a moment, staring at the display.

DR. YAMAMOTO (calling back):

"Keep up, please! We're moving to the next section!"

Andrew turns to follow—

—and doesn't notice one of the spiders is missing from the display.

Scene: Bathroom Break

Halfway through the tour, the teacher gives them a break. Andrew heads to the bathroom, still thinking about the bio-engineering lab.

As he washes his hands, he feels something crawl onto his wrist.

ANDREW:

"What the—"

He looks down.

A spider. Red and blue markings. Glowing faintly.

Before he can react, it bites him.

ANDREW (hissing in pain):

"Ow! Damn it!"

He flicks the spider off. It hits the sink and scurries away, disappearing down the drain.

Andrew examines his wrist. Two small puncture marks, already starting to swell. The area around the bite tingles uncomfortably.

ANDREW (thinking):

Great. Just great. I'm probably going to need a tetanus shot or something.

He washes the bite thoroughly, wraps it in paper towels, and heads back to the group.

The tingling doesn't go away.

Scene: Bus Ride Home

On the bus back to school, Andrew sits next to Izuku, feeling increasingly worse. His head pounds. His skin feels too hot, then too cold. Sweat beads on his forehead.

IZUKU (concerned):

"Andrew? You okay? You look really pale."

ANDREW (weakly):

"Yeah… just a headache. Probably the fluorescent lights in the lab."

IZUKU:

"Do you want me to tell the teacher? We could stop -

ANDREW:

"I'm fine. Really. Just need to get home and sleep it off."

But he's not fine. His vision blurs. His muscles ache. Everything feels wrong.

ANDREW (thinking):

What the hell did that spider do to me?

Scene: Midoriya Household - Andrew's Room - Evening

Andrew stumbles into his room, barely making it to his bed before collapsing. His body is burning up. His heart races. Every nerve feels like it's on fire.

INKO (knocking on his door):

"Andrew? Izuku said you weren't feeling well. Do you need anything?"

ANDREW (voice strained):

"I'm okay, Mom. Just need to sleep."

INKO:

"I'll check on you in a bit. Let me know if you need medicine."

Her footsteps fade down the hallway.

Andrew curls up on his bed, shivering despite the heat. His mind drifts in and out of consciousness.

Then, the dreams begin.

Dream Sequence

Andrew finds himself standing on a massive web, suspended in an endless void. The strands glow faintly, pulsing with energy.

A voice echoes around him—ancient, powerful, otherworldly.

VOICE:

"At last… you awaken."

Andrew spins around. A giant spider appears before him, its eight eyes glowing like stars.

ANDREW:

"What… what is this? Where am I?"

SPIDER:

"You are in the space between worlds. The place where power is born."

ANDREW:

"The spider from the lab. You bit me."

SPIDER:

"I did. And in doing so, I have given you a gift. The gods have been watching you, Andrew Midoriya. You are not of this world. You remember another life. Another reality."

ANDREW (stunned):

"How do you

SPIDER:

"We see all threads. All possibilities. You were chosen because you understand what it means to have great power. And you will learn what it means to bear great responsibility."

ANDREW:

"Wait, what are you saying? What did you do to me?"

SPIDER:

"I have given you abilities beyond human limits. Strength. Speed. Agility. Senses. The power to cling to any surface. And something more—an instinct. A warning system. A spider-sense."

ANDREW:

"But… why me?"

SPIDER:

"Because this world needs balance. Heroes with Quirks. Villains with Quirks. But you? You will be something different. Something they do not expect."

The spider begins to fade, its voice growing distant.

SPIDER (cont'd):

"Use this gift wisely, Andrew Midoriya. With great power comes great responsibility."

Scene: Andrew's Room - Morning

Andrew wakes with a gasp, his body drenched in sweat. Sunlight streams through his window.

He sits up slowly, expecting pain—but there is none.

In fact, he feels… incredible.

His headache is gone. His muscles don't ache. If anything, he feels stronger than he ever has in his life.

ANDREW (thinking):

What… what happened to me?

He looks at his wrist. The bite marks are gone. No swelling. No redness. Just smooth, unmarked skin.

ANDREW (cont'd, thinking):

That dream. The spider. Was it real?

He swings his legs out of bed and stands—

—and immediately notices something wrong.

His feet stick to the floor.

Not like glue. Like magnets. He can feel the connection, the pull.

ANDREW (panicking):

"What the hell?!"

He tries to lift his foot. It doesn't budge.

Then, instinctively, he releases the connection. His foot comes free.

ANDREW (breathing heavily):

Okay. Okay, that's not normal. That's definitely not normal.

He looks around his room. His desk. His ceiling. His walls.

Slowly, carefully, he reaches out and presses his hand against the wall.

It sticks.

ANDREW:

"No way."

He puts his other hand on the wall. Both hands stick.

He lifts one foot. It sticks.

Then the other.

He's standing on the wall.

ANDREW (voice shaking):

"No way. No way."

He starts to climb. Up the wall. Across the ceiling. His body moves naturally, instinctively, like he's been doing this his whole life.

ANDREW (thinking, amazed):

The spider. The dream. It was real. I have… I have spider powers.

I'm like Peter Parker.

I'm Spider-Man.

He drops down from the ceiling, landing perfectly on his feet.

For the first time since waking up in this world, Andrew smiles. A real, genuine smile.

ANDREW:

"Okay. Let's see what else I can do."
