Three days later, Mufasa and his group had departed Black Castle and traveled south again, arriving at Last Hearth.
Since both horses had evolved into Exotic Beasts, their running speed doubled, and Mufasa's group traveled very quickly.
They rested for one day in the Umber family's hearth castle.
During this time, Greatjon and his son, Smalljon, were very curious about Mufasa's group.
A beauty and a beast, along with a dwarf and a wildling.
They were also carrying a coffin, which made them feel Mufasa's group was ominous, so they did not welcome them warmly.
But on the last night before Mufasa's group left the hearth castle, Greatjon couldn't help but ask Mufasa.
"Ser Mufasa, what is inside that coffin?"
"A person!" Mufasa said without raising his head, while cutting the bacon on his plate.
"Living or dead? If alive, why haven't you let him out? If dead, how long has he been dead? Why are you traveling with him?" Greatjon asked.
"Naturally, he is dead. But he is very dangerous, so don't harbor any ill intentions! Because what is inside is..."
Mufasa drew out the last word, not yet revealing what it was.
Smalljon couldn't help but ask.
"What is it?"
"A Wight!" Mufasa said coldly.
As soon as he finished speaking, a cold wind blew through, extinguishing more than half the candles in the great hall.
Many people felt a chill rise in their hearts.
"No way!"
"Clang!"
The knife and fork in Smalljon's hand dropped to the floor, making a crisp sound.
"Who is the dead man?" Smalljon asked.
"Ser Waymar Royce from The Vale. Perhaps you don't know him?" Mufasa replied.
"No, I know him. I met him when I was a squire for a knight in The Vale. I even saw him when he went to Black Castle! I can't believe he died." Smalljon said sadly.
"Can I see him, Ser Mufasa?"
Hearing the strange request, Mufasa frowned. However, he thought just a glance should be fine.
"Alright, but only a look from afar. No touching or getting close."
Mufasa and the others went to where the coffin was placed, and then he opened the Black Casket, revealing the person inside.
Although his body was broken and one eye was blind.
But Smalljon still recognized him as Waymar Royce.
"Waymar, you died a terrible death! Don't worry, I will definitely avenge you!" Smalljon said.
He wiped the tears from his face, then looked furiously at Mufasa.
"Tell me who killed Waymar?"
"Uh, well, it was the Others! You probably can't beat them." Mufasa said.
"How can the Others be killed?"
"A valyrian steel sword, Dragonglass, or weapons like wildfire or dragonfire! I don't know if there are any other weapons." Mufasa said.
The next morning, Mufasa's group prepared to leave Last Hearth.
As they left, they saw that House Umber had entered a state of Level One Alert. It seemed they were ready at any moment to answer the call of the King and Winterfell, and march their troops north.
Mufasa's group traveled incredibly fast, crossing mountains, forests, and rivers, and arrived at Winterfell once again.
Robb Stark and Theon already knew Mufasa would arrive soon, and they had been waiting for a long time.
While bathing together in the hot springs, Mufasa mentioned Olyvar Pox he had met at Eastwatch-by-the-Sea.
"Is he doing well?" Theon asked.
Olyvar was his only friend when they were young.
"He's a Night's Watch man at Eastwatch-by-the-Sea, and he's doing quite well. The food at Eastwatch is even better than at Winterfell." Mufasa said.
"I really want to see him. It must have been ten years since we last met."
Theon rarely showed such a wistful expression.
"You could represent Robb Stark to visit the Night's Watch! Isn't that a chance to see Olyvar?" Mufasa said.
"But Robb doesn't have much prestige in the eyes of the Northern Lords right now! He doesn't seem to have the qualifications yet?" Theon said.
Eddard Stark is still alive and well; Robb Stark hasn't fully grown into his role yet. In the eyes of the Northern Lords and the Night's Watch, they only know Eddard Stark of Winterfell, not someone named Robb Stark.
"Then have Robb Stark represent Eddard Stark to visit the Night's Watch. You will definitely go with him." Mufasa said again.
"That's a solution!" Theon laughed.
After resting in Winterfell for a few days, Theon also grew curious about the Black Casket Mufasa was carrying.
But after learning it contained the corpse of Waymar Royce, he kept his distance.
When King Robert's convoy left Riverrun, Mufasa's group also left Winterfell, and both parties finally met up at Harrenhal.
Joffrey and the others were very happy to see Mufasa again. However, they were all surprised to see Mufasa carrying a coffin with him.
"What's inside the coffin?" Joffrey asked.
"Where is the King? I want to see him!" Mufasa couldn't see King Robert or Eddard Stark.
"Father and Lord Eddard went to the Gods Eye Lake near Harrenhal." Joffrey said.
"What are you looking for them for?" he continued to ask.
"Gods Eye Lake? Does it seem to have the Isle of Faces? And is there some organization called the Green Men?" Mufasa asked.
"That's right! But whether they truly exist, no one knows, since no one has seen the Green Men organization for hundreds of years." Joffrey said.
Then he came over to Heraka.
"Mufasa, how did he grow a pair of wings? Doesn't that mean he can fly? Can I ride him for a quick flight? Please, please, just let me." Joffrey pleaded.
"Heraka won't attack you, go ahead and ride him yourself!" Mufasa said.
Joffrey walked up to Heraka and climbed onto his back. But he discovered a problem: there was no lion Saddle.
Horses have saddles, dragons have Dragon Saddles, so logically, a lion should also have a lion Saddle.
However, Mufasa always just used a rope to harness Heraka, gripping the rope when he flew, and had never thought about making a lion Saddle.
But Joffrey is His Highness the Prince! He immediately grabbed a Tape Measure and began taking Heraka' measurements. Then he relayed the dimensions to several craftsmen.
"Make me the best lion Saddle before we return to King's Landing! Do you understand?"
"Yes, yes, His Highness the Prince."
The craftsmen immediately set to work.
When Mufasa went to look for King Robert, Myrcella stopped him again.
"Big Brother Mufasa, since you went Beyond the Wall, did you bring me back a gift?" She looked at Mufasa expectantly.
"Oh no, I completely forgot about that?"
Mufasa's heart tightened.
But then he remembered that he seemed to have won a Cloth Doll in a lottery, one that looked like snow white.
So Mufasa pulled out the Cloth Doll.
"This is snow white, you know, not just an ordinary Cloth Doll!"
Myrcella took the Cloth Doll. She didn't think there was anything special about it.
