Chapter 24 - Chapter 24:When Limits Break

Chapter starts with Jay looked at his team, his expression cold and serious.

"Leave," he said quietly.

"I'll stay here."

The team hesitated, unease flickering across their faces, but one by one, they turned and moved out of the area.

As their footsteps faded—

Daksha let out a relieved breath.

"Hoo… finally. Nothing went wrong."

Suddenly—

"EVERYONE, GET DOWN!!" Raghav shouted.

BOOOOM—!

A violent explosion erupted behind them. Fire, debris, and shockwaves tore through the air.

Without hesitation, Raghav rushed straight toward the blast.

"Raghav! Where are you going?!" someone screamed.

That was when they saw her—

Sia, forming a glowing energy shield, charging into the explosion alongside Raghav, protecting him as they vanished into the chaos.

Jay stood alone.

In front of him stood a man—his entire body wrapped in bandages.

His eyes were cold.

His presence was crushing.

In the next instant, the bandaged man attacked.

Jay ducked instantly, dodging the strike with perfect timing.

But—

The attack didn't miss.

It struck the Commander instead.

The commander slammed into the ground, blood spreading as his body lay broken and unmoving.

Jay rushed to his side.

"Sir… are you okay?!"

The commander smiled faintly, his breath shallow.

"My time… is up."

Jay's eyes trembled.

"But you," the commander continued weakly, "you can still learn the truth about your father… from one more person."

Jay leaned closer, listening carefully.

"His name is Kaito," the commander whispered.

"A very famous hunter… from Japan."

With those final words, the commander's eyes slowly closed.

He was dead.

Darkness swallowed Jay's expression.

Pure rage burned in his eyes.

He turned toward Raghav and Sia.

"Take everyone and leave," Jay commanded.

Raghav clenched his fists.

"How can you fight him alone?!"

Jay's voice was calm—terrifyingly calm.

"Just go."

With no other choice, Raghav and Sia retreated.

Jay raised his hand.

Clang—

His sword materialized.

The bandaged man, however, summoned no weapon.

Instead, he slowly loosened the bandages wrapped around his hands.

The two charged at each other.

Jay unleashed a storm of sword strikes.

Slash.

Slash.

But the man caught both blades with his bandages—barehanded.

Jay's eyes widened.

"…Summon."

The man tore the bandages away from the swords and paused, concentrating.

Then—

He moved.

Alone, he descended upon everyone.

Jay.

The Demon Army.

No one could even react.

He was fighting at light speed.

Within a single second—

Thousands of punches rained down on Jay.

Jay was launched through the air, crashing far away.

CRACK

Bones shattered.

His body lay broken—unable to move.

The bandaged man continued, brutally tearing through the Demon Army.

Even Zarathor and Ozarian were overwhelmed.

Jay lay on the ground, bloodied.

With trembling fingers, he opened the Diary's shop page.

Three Health Potions summoned.

He drank all three at once.

His wounds healed.

Bones reformed.

Jay stood up again.

Then—

Diary Update

New Sword Unlocked

Jay smiled faintly.

"It's been a long time… since a new sword unlocked."

The Diary displayed:

Sword Name: Nightfall Omen

Ability:

– Increases user's limits

– Grants Dark Aura

"…Summon."

The moment the sword appeared—

A massive storm of darkness erupted, stretching all the way into the sky.

Jay's body vanished into the shadows.

Only his blue, glowing eyes remained visible.

In a heavy voice, Jay spoke:

"What was her fault?

What did she do…

that you had to kill her?"

The demon laughed.

Jay's eyes burned brighter.

"…Summon."

Behind him—

The entire Demon Army appeared.

Zarathor.

Kaelvius.

Jay attempted to summon Thalvor—

…but there was no response.

After a brief silence, Jay spoke:

"Go."

The army and commanders charged.

Jay moved faster than light and struck the demon with a punch.

The demon slid back slightly.

"Good speed," he smirked.

"But not my level."

Jay narrowed his eyes.

"Then take this."

He accelerated further—his punches growing faster, heavier.

The demon frowned.

This human… keeps pushing his limits.

Suddenly, the demon hardened his bandages—turning them hard as steel.

"Now tell me," he said coldly,

"how will you survive this?"

The darkness storm roared.

Jay's blue eyes glowed within it.
