Synopsis
A transmigrator arrives in the world of Fairy Tail with an overpowered “King’s Treasury” magic that unleashes absurdly destructive weapons. What starts as a simple dream of quietly growing stronger and becoming a ruler turns into a series of cross-world missions involving figures from multiple anime worlds, while an apocalyptic dragon threat draws ever closer. As everyone around the protagonist reacts in horror to “solutions” that level entire battlefields, the line between savior and walking natural disaster becomes hilariously blurred.

Chapter 1 - Warfire King’s Armory, Old Man, Hurry Up and Retire

"What do you say?"

"Today, it has to be today!"

Inside the Fairy Tail guild hall, Kai had just stepped through the door when a kid latched onto him. The brat was Romeo, Macao's son.

"Smart kid who knows how to talk. Here, this is your pocket money, go buy some candy."

Kai took out ten thousand J and handed it to Romeo. Today marked the moment he completed his one hundredth job. He could not really claim to be the number one wizard in the guild.

But finishing one hundred high difficulty jobs in a single year, averaging one job every three days or so, was still outrageous.

That kind of success rate put him in the upper bracket even among Fairy Tail's lunatics.

"Big Bro Kai is so generous. Thank you, Big Bro."

Romeo clutched the ten thousand J and ran off, grinning from ear to ear. He had long had his eye on a super cool magic tool and had wanted to buy it for ages.

He had always been just short on cash. Now he finally had enough.

That magic tool cost exactly ten thousand J.

"Mira, here. Sorry to rush you, but please process this fast. I am in a hurry to accept the next job."

"You really are a busy one. Ever since you joined the guild, my workload shot straight up."

Mirajane smiled gently as she checked over the completed job, chatting with Kai while her hands moved. Once she confirmed everything, she brought the stamp down onto the request sheet.

Kai heard the system voice ring out in his mind and let out a quiet sigh. So it was true, the title of number one in the guild was not something you earned easily.

If he wanted to become number one in Fairy Tail, he probably had to actually beat everyone. Forget the ones below S rank.

Just the S class, Erza, Laxus, Mystogan, Gildarts, and the currently out of commission Mirajane.

Every single one of them was a nightmare to deal with. If he kept them at range, he might be able to use his Warfire King's Armory to suppress them with sheer firepower.

But once it came down to close combat, who would win or lose was anyone's guess.

"Every day you are either doing a job or on the road to a job."

A tiny old man with a white beard walked over at that moment and hopped straight up to sit on the bar counter.

When Kai woke up in this world, the system he awakened was called the Achievement System. Every time he completed an achievement, he received a reward.

When he had suddenly crossed over and first appeared here, Makarov had happened to find him by accident and brought him back to the guild.

The first achievement triggered when he joined Fairy Tail, which rewarded him with the King's Treasury, a magic armory.

The next time he completed a job, a new achievement activated. The King's Treasury upgraded into the Warfire King's Armory. It did not only contain a huge number of weapons.

More importantly, it came with a buff. The stronger Kai's magical power became, the stronger the buff grew.

With his current magic power that was close to S class wizard level, the buff multiplied it by ten. In simple terms, his mana reserves were ten times that of others.

"Talking to a brat like you is enough to make a man angry. What do you mean, I should retire early so you can move up."

"Even if I did retire, it would hardly be your turn. I still have all those S class wizards."

"If you want to inherit the position, become an S class wizard first."

Makarov scolded Kai harshly, then pulled out a request sheet, shoved it at him and spoke.

Kai took it without even looking. He liked to call Makarov "old man" every other sentence, yet in truth he was very fond of the geezer.

"Huh, Anen Road Town. I remember Natsu went there before."

"He said he was going to look for some fire dragon. But how could a place like that have a real dragon. He is probably going to come back empty handed again."

Mira shook her head with a faint sigh. Dragons had vanished from the world for who knew how many years. Natsu's hope of finding his foster father was almost impossibly slim.

After the paperwork for the request was done, Kai headed out right away to tackle his new job.

"Master, you are already old, you really should hurry up and retire."

"Get lost, brat, my bones are still tough."

Makarov chased Kai all the way to the door and drove him out, then went back, sat down in his chair, and thumped his own lower back.

"Ah, I really am getting old."

Makarov also began to wonder if it was time for him to retire, and who he should hand the position of guild master to next. Who would it be.

Thinking that, he let his gaze wander across the brats around the guild hall and remembered their talent for causing trouble.

He immediately abandoned the idea of retirement. He had to hold on for a few more years. Otherwise, who knew what kind of disasters these kids would bring down on the world.
