Chapter 1 - Where the world splits

Living in Tokyo for almost my whole life, I finally decided to leave from Tokyo, and have anew breath of life in Shibuya leaving behind everything I liked! The old house my lovely house and even my friends! I mean I don't regret letting them to rot they were more of 'acquaintance' than friends.

While having my wonderful interhomolog movement, was very rudely Interruped by someone, who still rot back in Tokyo.

"Hey! whacha doing? got any money on you I want to buy some sweets!" she says while jumping through my bedroom window.

"What did I tell you to not jump or go through the window any longer! we are in a new place, and that means new habits and letting old ones go!" annoying Ivy my childhood friend hasn't let of me or my money

As I scolded her, I went to change and wore my high school uniform my mom called us both for breakfast after having breakfast we went to high school as we were going to high school, I was thinking that how my first day would be.

I thought that my first day of high school should've been exciting, but all I felt was a strange heaviness in the air. ivy and I took the forest shortcut behind our neighborhood, even though everyone said it was creepy. The fog was thick, swirling around our leg like it was trying to pull us in. I kept telling myself it was just my imagination until we saw the shrine.

It was hiding between two giant cedar trees, the wood dark and cracked with age. Moss covered the stone steps, and half-broken lanterns lined the path. Something about it made my chest tighten. I was about to suggest we walk faster when Ivy grabbed my arm.

"I know this place", she murmured. "My grandma told me people used to worship a wolf deity here. They believed it could see the exact movement someone would die".

I forced a laugh, but goosebump spread across my skin. Despite the uneasiness crawling through my stomach, I felt drawn to the shrine. Almost without thinking, I stepped closer. Ivy followed, and together we bowed our heads to pray -more out of respect than belief.

The moment my eyes closed, a sharp noise exploded behind me. It was metallic, like a sword slamming into stone. My heart jumped. I snapped upright, but the world was already twisting. The tree melted into streaks of color, the cold air turned warm, and a rushing sound filled my ears.

My vision went dark.

When I opened my eyes again, everything was different.

No shrine

No forest

No Ivy

I had woken up somewhere else entirely
