Chapter 112 - Chapter 112: Evasion Training

Chapter 112: Evasion Training

After tidying up, he wondered, Since this tower has such rooms, does every clan have training rooms like these? If so, that would explain why the chakra reserves of clan children are usually higher than those of civilian children, and why they can master their clan's jutsu so quickly. It seems it's not just a matter of talent and guidance.

I should check the other Meditation Room to see if everything is the same. And I should also check each training room to see if it's feasible to recreate them.

As he considered rebuilding all the training rooms, he chuckled.

Well, that's a bit pointless. My small house can't possibly fit such rooms, haha.

As he walked toward another Meditation Room, he thought, Should I buy a new house? Hmm, do I still have money for a new house? Or would it be better if I built a secret base?

He checked the other room and found everything inside to be identical. Then he started walking toward the evasion training room.

A secret base would be very convenient. Konoha still has a lot of empty land that could be used to build one. But in a village full of ninja, is it possible to hide a secret base?

Hmm, nothing inside this tower can be sensed from the outside. And if I remember correctly, there are also barrier seals that can block even the Byakugan. So this might be feasible, but the risk is still very high. Should I make one outside the village? After all, no one will check the endless forest. But I'd first need to be able to sneak out of the village to truly build this base.

Forget it, I'll learn fuinjutsu first. Then I'll worry about how to make it work. The Uchiha clan massacre should also be happening soon. If the training rooms still exist after the massacre, I can sneak in and use their training rooms.

Kaito entered the evasion training room. He noticed multiple devices around the room that launched shuriken, kunai, and senbon.

But everything was made of wood, and none of them were sharp. Kaito chuckled.

This should be exciting.

He read the training manual for this room and confirmed that all weapons were harmless.

Kaito walked to the center of the room.

There was a lever there with one rod sticking out. To activate the device, the lever must first be moved. The extent to which the lever is moved indicates what percentage of the devices will be activated.

Once the lever is pulled, the button must be pressed to launch the weapons.

The manual stated that this process could only be performed 100 times, after which the device needed to be refilled. Kaito wondered, How many storage seals are carved in this room?

As he wondered, he grinned and pulled the control lever to the maximum. Then he pressed the button. Immediately, all the weapons flew toward him.

Shuriken rained down on him from 7 different directions.

He could see 5, while the other 2 were behind him.

He still heard the sound of them being launched, so he moved to a place where the shuriken wouldn't hit him.

As soon as he moved there, senbon needles shot toward him. He successfully dodged most of them, but five still hit him.

For the next two minutes, weapons continuously attacked him, one after another.

Two minutes later, the attack finally stopped. The entire floor was covered with blunt wooden weapons.

Kaito frowned.

I've been hit so many times. I can't even count anymore—I stopped counting after 136! And I even had to block 7 times with my hands, otherwise they would have hit my eyes. Is it really possible to dodge all of them? Or rather, what level does one need to reach to dodge all of them?

Forget it, this time I'll try to block them using other weapons.

He picked up some kunai and senbon and put them in his pockets. He held 3 kunai in each hand.

Then he created wind, cleared the floor, and pushed all the wooden weapons to the wall. He pulled the control lever again and pressed the button.

He dodged again, only this time, when he couldn't dodge, he used weapons to block at the last moment, or threw weapons to knock down the incoming projectiles. But he was still hit many times.

He analyzed, Not bad. This time, I was only hit 43 times. Still a lot though.

Then he picked up his sword, thinking, Alright, this time I'll try with my favorite weapon. But I can't use wind blades. Otherwise, this room might collapse.

He imagined his wind blades destroying the training room, and he couldn't help but laugh.

This time, he was hit eighty-two times.

My sword can't block at long range. All blocks were done at the last moment. That's why I was hit more times. However, if I used wind blades, I might never get hit.

He sheathed his sword and gathered chakra. Blue chakra could be seen flowing around him.

He activated the test again. As wind surged through the room, weapons were launched at him again. The wind began to spin around him at high speed, continuously blocking all incoming weapons for 2 minutes.

Kaito grinned.

Excellent. I can call this the Wind Style: Rotation. Although its power isn't very strong. If these weapons were made of metal and heavier, it might not work. However, this makes sense. Basically, I just used principles from D-rank Wind Style jutsu, like Wind Manipulation, Projectile Control, and Air Levitation.

If I can add a spinning wind barrier to it, and then figure out a way to inject more chakra to make it spin faster while keeping it stable and not harming me, then this could become a very good defensive jutsu. But this isn't absolute defense yet.

Then he looked at the mess around him and thought, Well, defending with jutsu or weapons is also an option. But this training room was built to improve evasion skills. For now, I'll focus on that.

Kaito only turned the control lever halfway and pressed the button. He persisted in practicing again and again.

He spent the next four hours in the evasion room. By the end, large piles of wooden weapons were stacked against all four walls. Kaito glanced at them and thought, Rest in peace to whoever has to refill these things.

He walked out of the room, ready to go to the restaurant for something to eat.

It's already five in the afternoon. I hope they still have food available.

After eating, he walked into the Wind Nature Training Room, thinking, Practicing Wind Style in a closed room? I'm curious how this works.

Upon entering the room, he found it empty. There was only a meditation mat in the center of the room.

He picked up the manual. It read:

This is the Wind Style training room. When training, sit on the mat in the center of the room, then meditate.

There are several boxes on the table where this manual is placed. Each box has 9 strips. These strips, from left to right, are made of: leaves, balsa wood, pine, oak, aluminum, copper, steel, titanium, and chakra metal.

The strips gradually get harder from left to right. You can test how strong your Wind Style chakra is by trying to cut them.

Kaito grabbed a box from the table and opened it. The strips were all 1 centimeter thick. He picked up these strips one by one and began to cut them with wind chakra.

The leaf, balsa wood, pine, and oak strips were all cut. On the aluminum strip, Kaito cut 3-millimeter incisions from both sides but couldn't go any deeper.

Kaito put the aluminum strip and the cut strips back into the box, then placed them into his scroll.

Then he walked to the mat, sat on it, and began to meditate.
