The crowd of awakened humans gathered close to discuss their paths, some already decided long ago, while others still has not as they were not expecting to be awakened.
From within this chattering crowd, two individuals stand out. Maybe because of their fair appearance or their high status within the city that they cannot help but gain attention whenever they go.
"Which profession would you choose Alice? Why not join the nightwalkers with me, it's more safe job than the night hunters!" A handsome young man with white hair and silver eyes, adorned in exquisite clothes fawned over a beautiful golden haired young girl with azure blue eyes, that looks like a goddess of one's dream, but she looks uninterested to him.
"You know what, as a second generation, we don't need to work hard to achieve the life we wanted, so why risk our valuable life?"
"My decision were already decided long ago to join the nighthunter's, Alden. Wherever you go doesn't concerns me for a bit." The beautiful girl coldly replied, like she wanted this man to disappear immediately, unconsciously, her eyes landed on Alexander's direction, noticing how weird and kinda how eye catching he looks. Especially his ghostly arm, that looks powerful.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, a cringe idea spawned inside her head. 'What if I use this guy?' she thought mischievously.
"Well then... I follow you to the nighthunter's then. With our parents connection, we can surely live a better inside this small consortium!" Alden, the white haired boy seems not to get her hints, still fawning incessantly at her, making her felt even more annoyed.
"Whatever you say Alden, I just want you to keep your distance from me or my boyfriend here would misunderstand." Alice make a flamboyant shooing sign, as she slowly begins to walk towards the oblivious Alexander.

Poor Alden, he was chasing after Alice all around for couple of years now, just to be declined again and again, and then, just to see her having a so called relationship with someone, especially a commoner boy?
Actually, he was not dumb enough to believe that sudden nonsense, as he knows Alice too well, but his intense emotion just overflowed so much that he temporary lost most of his reason.
Alden was boiling with anger even more, seeing Alice getting close towards Lynx, that were still oblivious on what's happening.
Just when Alice was about to grab Alexander's arm, Lynx immediately reacted, staring at the beautiful golden haired girl that dared to grab his arm out of nowhere.
'Who is this woman? Why did she grab me, out of nowhere?' Lynx thinks hard, circling his thoughts around.
"Who are you?" Seeing all eyes were all directed to the two of them, Lynx asked in hushed voice, his brows risen, staring at the beautiful golden haired girl with confusion.
"Help me...act like you're my boyfriend, then I'll reward you with 1000 paradise dollars when this is over!" Alice whispered back, aiming to make Lynx to act along with him with a promised reward.
'1000 paradise dollars! OMG! Such a large sum of free money!' Lynx exclaimed internally, seemingly wanting to jump high in joy but still manage to held it in. He don't want to be laughed at, especially in this crowed environment where there's a lot of nosy individuals. 'But is this real? Or she's just a joking around with me?'
"Is it real? Or are you just joking with me?" Lynx asked to be sure, staring skeptical at this unknown girl.
"The Morven family doesn't joke around, boy! Especially if it's just a thousand paradise dollars!" Alive scoffed in a low tone, staring at Lynx like he was a dumb and ignorant man.
"Okay, okay, I'll do what you want." As soon as Lynx heard that she's from Morven family, he immediately agreed without hesitation, in a freight. Who doesn't know the top 10 family of the Paradise City? Especially their family heads, which are fifth rank beings he can't afford to offend.
Even if their younger generation want him to crawl between their legs, he can only comply or they could say goodbye staying inside the city.

"Just act like my boyfriend. That's it" Alice replied, feeling a bit disappointed about Lynx chickening out. He looks strong but he's actually a sheep in disguise of a wolf.
What Alice didn't know is that, Lynx only complied because he still want his life in the city to be peaceful. A girl like her that live in a powerful family would not never understand the fear of a commoner, that only want peaceful life in the face of a behemoth like them.
"This...this is your boyfriend? Are you joking with me?" Alden that followed along Alice stared at Lynx with unconcealed hatred, up and down. Other than Lynx looking a bit handsome, he looks plain overall and surely a lowly commoner that barely scraping by.
What touch his ego is that, Alice is acting so close to Lynx. Hugging the commoners arm like a koala, looking so sweet that he was so jealous, extremely jealous that he wants to explode right here and now.
What he chased around for years, becoming nothing but a lowly a bootlicker in the process. But he never showed his displeasure, hoping that one day she would like him to, but the scene infront of him says it otherwise. Acting so sweet makes him want to puke, and rampage.
"He really is! Want me to show you?" Alice smiled mischievously, as she stared at Alden with disgust before she turn towards Lynx and kissed him on the cheeks.
"Smooch~~!"
Her pinkish lips leaves a thin saliva on Lynx cheeks, that immediately start to turn cold.
Lynx was shocked, a young girl, especially a member of the Morven family have just kissed his cheeks! He can boast this momentous event for his entire lifetime. He cannot help but smile that stretch into his ears.
"You! Yo–You'll regret this!" Alden point his finger at smug Alice, his face was so red from anger that he looks like he's about to explode. He glared dangerously at Lynx, looking like he totally lost his reason, his eyes are telling Lynx that he'll going to do his best to kill him. Making Lynx shivered.
He then storm far, no one knows where, he just disappear from the duo's view.
"He's finally gone, I can finally take a breath!" Alice sighed, gazing to her side where Lynx where standing. She stared emotionless at him, and spoke. "Where's your smart watch? I'll send you your reward!"

Lynx was speechless at her fast changing expression, and as for her questions about his smart watch. He doesn't have that thing, he's just a poor orphan with nothing on his name.
"I bet you don't have that thing, right?" Alice rise one of her eyebrows, in her eyes, this a bit mysterious boy become a pitiful beggar that has nothing, which in some perspective is right.
Looking at Lynx blank expression, he surely doesn't have it. She sighed again, but she kinda use this guy so she can't just leave him alone with nothing.
"Come with me, poor boy!" She nonchalantly pulled Lynx towards the nighthunter's stall under the crowds peering eyes. The nighthunter's registration stall already have a couple of people lining up for registration."I can at least help you to have some prospect in life..."
