Mariah walked through the corridor of this company for the last time and couldn't help but feel a small pain in the heart. For five years she had been working here building a life she called stable. But now she has to throw this life away and go back there because of a promotion and now she has no right to resign because of the employee's contract. People call her many names,iron Lady, cold goddess, heartless woman and so on but people don't know there is a little woman inside all these cold and indifferent appearances is wounded by her own family and the people she once called her own.
She reached her office which will not be her office from tomorrow onwards and couldn't help but feels sad.
She turned and went to stand in front of the wide window recalling all the memories she had made here.
The successful project and the failed ones, the many times she worked overtime and so on and a tear dropped on her perfect and a little chubby cheeks then she laughed.
Outside of her office, some of the staff of the finance team are standing in front of her office door and since it has glass walls they can see what's going on there. Even though they always scolded her in secret because of the way she always made work hard, they couldn't but feel sad because even though she was hard on and makes them work overtime if one mistake is made,she is good to them in her way.
She never had staff dinner with them but she always paid for the dinner and anytime they had to work overtime she made sure after work every one had reached home safely before she could sleep in, not forgetting the food she's ordered for them during all those times they worked overtime.
She always had the patience to teach and help new interns in their work and never fails to protect them when other departments try to bully them.She never smiles or talks to them in the normal way but she is good to them in her way,they will really miss her.
In about five minutes, the finance team is filled with tears and sadness.
The door opened Mariah stepped out with her box of things and saw them dilly-dally in front of the office with their faces looking like they had been scolded.
'What are people doing here, are you people waiting for me to scold or something and you people should fix that faces of yours. It's as if I have beaten you, now you people should leave before I make you do some general cleaning in the company since you guys are not busy anyway."
Mariah scold them for the last time before she left the company. Back at her apartment all her things had been already sorted and the moving company has already loaded them, just waiting for her to come and makes sure that everything is sorted out. Cancel all my meetings for the rest of the day and you can also leave ' Javier stated.
