Bella looked around the film set but couldn't find Damian's tall figure.
On the other end of the line, Damian said coldly, "Ms. Acker, do you think I have so much free time?"
Hearing this, Bella finally breathed a sigh of relief, "Then... How did you know when I was on break?"
He actually knew when she got off the set to rest; she'd never believe there wasn't something suspicious about this.
"Did Ms. Acker do something shady to make you so guilty?"
"Who... Who's guilty? Stop talking nonsense."
Damian pressed, "If you're not guilty, why didn't you answer my call?"
"I... I fell asleep, didn't... didn't hear it." Even though they weren't face-to-face, Bella's eyes shifted unconsciously when she lied.
Sharon, watching nearby, listened to Bella's tone and already guessed who was on the other end of the call. She couldn't help but find it amusing. Just by looking at Bella, she knew that if she stood in front of Damian, she'd be eaten alive. She couldn't lie to save her life.
