"Hello, is this President Lloyd? I am... I am Bella Acker." Bella Acker clutched her phone tightly, her voice a little tense, as scenes from that night involuntarily flashed through her mind.
On the other end of the line, President Lloyd perked up upon hearing her voice and glanced at the caller ID, "Ms. Acker, a pleasure to meet you!"
"Uh... I wonder if President Lloyd has time, I'd like to arrange a meeting."
"A meeting? Now?"
"No... not now, didn't you return to Creston?"
"No, I came back this afternoon." President Lloyd sounded particularly enthusiastic, "Where does Ms. Acker want to meet? Shall I book a restaurant?"
"No... there's no need, I'll... I'll treat you to tea." Bella Acker immediately refused. Letting him choose the place felt far too unsafe.
