There weren't many people crossing the road, but there were quite a few vehicles.
"Watch out."
A motorcycle suddenly charged in from the side of the lane designated for turning, startling Archer Quinn. He reached out to embrace Bella, pulling her into his arms and stepped back two paces.
The motorcycle came out from beside a bus, where there was a blind spot, probably not expecting anyone to rush out so quickly. Seeing Bella in front, the rider himself got quite a scare.
"Miss, are you alright?"
Bella shook her head slightly nervously, "I'm okay, I'm okay."
"Sorry, I was in a hurry to pick up my wife who's giving birth, and didn't see you." The motorcycle rider seemed genuinely rushed. Seeing that Bella was fine, he rode off.
Bella's heart was pounding rapidly, even as she watched the motorcycle leave, she still hadn't fully processed what had happened.
If Archer Quinn hadn't grabbed her and pulled her back, she would have been hit directly by the motorcycle.
