Early the next morning.
Raine followed the arrangement with Chris and stopped in front of a house located on the southwest corner of Mill Town.
This was a typical two-story dwelling of Mill Town, rented as a practice field by the Howling Hunter Squad. It had a sloped roof and a stone chimney, but what made it unique was the nearly two-meter-high fence enclosing a large front yard.
Through the dense ivy and honeysuckle on the fence, Raine could see the familiar figures practicing in the yard.
A few minutes later.
In the front yard.
"Raine, come, let's spar a bit."
"Yesterday, while clearing out the Vampire Bats, I felt that your shield technique seemed even better than mine." Chris lifted his shield, laughing as he spoke to Raine.
Though Chris often joked around, he was quite proud internally.
As a Warrior Apprentice, if he couldn't even use a shield better than a Mage Apprentice, he would doubt his abilities and further question his role in the squad.
