Chapter 2 - Sukuna

"Just how big is the gap..."

Night. Tokyo. Shibuya.

A panting figure stood atop Magma.

It was not Human. The figure's frame was small, its shape peculiar and its limbs disproportionally thin. It had a single large round eye, similar to that of a Cyclops, teeth as if made of Stone and Metal and on top of the figure's head... was a Volcano.

Jogo. That was the creature's name.

'What's this?'

Jogo's single eye was focused on his opponent... a bad feeling rising up as his opponents flame took the shape of arrow on a bow.

"Arm yourself."

His Opponent smiled.

´"Let's have a contest of Firepower."

'Firepower.... against... Sukuna?'

The Curse of the Iron Mountain... against the King of Curses.

A fight, no a Humiliation. Jogo knew it. He could not win.

Despite that, he armed himself.

The curse's mind went blank as he slowly raised his arms, a ball of compressed fire materializing beneath his Palm.

The smile on Sukuna's face grew as he took aim with his bow.

-

In front of the King of Curses, was a fire. The small figure of a Curse which had given it all to... not defeat him, but just to overcome itself in order to take a step closer towards it's goal.

The curse had failed to do so.

Despite that, Sukuna's gaze remained fixated on the burning Jogo, his gaze indecipherable.

But the truth was simple. He was mourning. Not the curse, but the experience.

A Curse who held one of the most dangerous Cursed techniques the world had seen, the literal embodiment of Nature's most unrestrained disaster.

'You should've burned everything in your path. You didn't even try.'

And that Curse, had held itself back. A Notion of restraint and comradery had taken root in the Curse, acting as poison to it's true nature and strength.

A Curse... acting as if it were Human.

But... despite that.

"Stand proud. You were strong."

The most dangerous curse Sukuna had faced in a long time, had been acting and speaking so Human it was annoying.

But no matter how annoyed he was by the Curse's mind and actions...Sukuna had enjoyed himself.

And there was simply no denying its strength.
