Chapter 44: The Bully's Tears
Troy was startled and immediately turned his head.
He saw the newcomer wearing a priest's black robe, but his skin was yellow, and he looked very young.
"Who are you!"
Troy was sure he had never seen this person before.
"Not very old, but quite ruthless." William commented lightly.
Aside, James suddenly rushed at William, trying to knock him down while he was unprepared.
But just as he got close to the priest, William dodged sideways.
William also extended his foot at the right time, causing James to stagger a few steps, then fall onto a rock, knocking out a tooth.
Seeing this, Troy struggled to break free, but found that this priest was extremely strong.
His arm felt like it was stuck in a hard wall.
"William!"
Seeing the newcomer's face, Dustin stood up excitedly.
"I thought you weren't coming!"
William smiled faintly: "Encountered some trouble on the road, delayed for a while."
Mike and Lucas looked curious, both sizing up this priest.
They had been listening to Dustin brag, and today they finally saw the real person.
But they were also more curious.
The priest looked only slightly older than Nancy; was he really as powerful as Dustin said?
On the other side.
Hearing Dustin's words, Troy also knew the identity of the priest in front of him.
He immediately scolded:
"Hey, let go of me, or I'll get my mom!"
This was Troy's usual trick.
His parents sponsored the construction of Hawkins Middle School and had a high status in the town, having a say in many matters.
Whenever Troy caused trouble, he would ask his mother to settle it.
"No matter which church you belong to, I'll complain to the Church about you!"
Troy raised his head, looking confident.
The church in Hawkins accepted sponsorship from local rich people all year round; a complaint letter would indeed cause a lot of trouble.
But William didn't hang around here, so this threat was useless to him.
Just as he was preparing to "educate" the other party properly, William suddenly sensed something approaching.
He immediately let go of Troy and took a few steps back.
Troy thought his threat had worked, so he became even more unscrupulous.
"Glad you know what's good for you. Now, I order you to kneel!" He pointed to the empty ground in front of him.
Aside, Mike and Lucas felt a little despair.
They didn't expect such a scene.
Dustin was full of anger, not understanding why William would fear Troy.
But at this moment, a black shadow suddenly flew out of the bushes nearby and pounced on Troy.
The moment the shadow appeared, William saw what it was.
"Demo-bat?"
He raised an eyebrow, recognizing the origin of this thing.
In the original work, this was a creature living in the "Upside Down."
About the size of an adult's head, very fierce, usually appearing in groups.
William looked around immediately but only found this one.
On the other side.
When the Demo-bat pounced on his face, Troy turned pale with fright and hurriedly reached out to drive it away.
But the monster clamped onto Troy's skin tightly with its claws, tearing arbitrarily with its extended mouthparts.
The latter cried for help.
Seeing this, James wanted to go up and help, but his legs were trembling, unable to take a step.
William crossed his arms over his chest, watching this scene quietly.
According to his observation, the combat power of the Demo-bat was not even as good as Luen.
So William didn't rush to act, taking this opportunity to let this school bully suffer a bit.
A moment later, seeing it was about enough.
William then shouted "anxiously": "Do you need help?"
"Quick... save me!"
Troy resisted with all his might, managing to finish a sentence with difficulty.
Seeing this, William took out a bottle of holy water and beckoned to Dustin and the other two.
The latter carefully bypassed the monster and gathered around William.
"Dustin, Troy is in great danger now!"
William deliberately raised his volume, speaking loud enough for Troy to hear.
"We must pour holy water on that monster, and then..." He emphasized his tone at this point, "Be sure to use your feet to stomp its wings broken."
Then William turned his head again.
"This might hurt a bit."
But how could Troy care about this now? He shouted anxiously: "I'm not afraid, come quickly! This thing is tearing my flesh!"
William smiled slightly upon seeing this, handed the bottle to Dustin, and gave the three a look.
The latter understood immediately and rushed to Troy's side.
At this time, Troy was lying on the ground, resisting the monster with all his might.
Dustin pulled out the cork and poured all the holy water inside onto the Demo-bat.
The latter immediately let out a painful roar, its flesh and skin quickly purified.
Seeing this, the three immediately raised their feet and stomped on Troy in turn.
While stomping, they also pretended to "care."
"Troy! Are you okay!"
"Hold on, we'll save you right away!"
...
William nodded, praising inwardly—teachable children.
James looked worried, afraid that the three would stomp Troy to injury.
He wanted to ask the priest to stop them several times, but didn't dare to speak.
And the most painful one at this moment was Troy on the ground.
He had already been scratched by the Demo-bat earlier.
Now that Dustin and the others were exerting force, Troy was already miserable.
But he didn't dare call a stop, fearing that the monster still had a breath left, so he could only swallow this bitter fruit.
Sticky body fluids, smooth intestines, foul smell.
When these sensations were transmitted to the brain, Troy cried.
He regretted immensely in his heart; he shouldn't have followed Dustin and the others.
Half a while later, William signaled that they could stop.
Only then did the three little ones reluctantly leave Troy's side.
Today was their happiest day since entering middle school; all the resentment of being bullied by Troy in the past was vented at this moment.
They finally knew that bullies were not invincible; they also had things to fear.
The three looked at William.
Except for Dustin, Mike and Lucas also looked full of admiration at this moment.
They didn't expect this priest to really know exorcism!
And he even helped them beat Troy!
This was simply like a Paladin in Dungeons & Dragons!
On the other side, Troy also climbed up carefully.
He was covered in filth, and seemed to have ingested something in his mouth.
Retch.
Troy only felt his stomach churning.
James wanted to go up and help, but was repelled by the smell on the other party.
Troy limped, intending to leave just like that.
"Wait."
At this time, William spoke.
"We saved your life; not even a thank you?"
Troy lowered his head, somewhat afraid to look into William's eyes.
"Th... thanks," he whispered.
"Can't hear you, louder." William raised his voice abruptly.
Troy was startled, his body trembling uncontrollably.
"Th... thank you for saving me."
Seeing this bully so obedient, Dustin and the others' hearts beat fast, feeling an unprecedented pleasure.
"Go." William waved his hand.
Ignoring the pain, Troy hurriedly trotted away, and James followed behind.
"William! Thank you so much."
Dustin rushed up and hugged William.
Today's experience was happier than his birthday.
"See, I said William is very powerful, didn't lie to you!" He jumped and boasted to his two partners.
Mike and Lucas also nodded excitedly.
"Hey, kids."
William beckoned to the three again.
"You have to be tougher outside. No need to be polite to rude people; politeness is reserved for those who respect you."
