THUMP THUMP THUMP
I was in the middle of the dense forest riding the Dila.
The Dila was really calm, really friendly. I didn't know it's gender so it was hard to thinking about it.
The forest surrounding me was full of orange leaves.
I was following the Quest Marker.
A Quest Marker is a type of compass needle you can activate when you have activated a quest. It shows how far you are from your quest destination and it's destination but it's not available for all the quests.
When you have just started and is really far away, the compass needle color is white. When you starts to go in the direction and when you cover a certain amount of distance, it changes it's color to pinkish.
And after covering more distance it slowly turns to orange, light red, red, and when you are around 3-4 meter away from your destination—your quest, it changes it's color to blood red.
Right now mine was somewhat between white and pink.
I was far from reaching my destination and it was probably going to take me hours or even a day or two.
It was going to take some time to complete the first quest.
I need to make a strategy to complete it without dying and before that I needed to level up a bit to ensure my survival and for that I was going to hunt the Mini Elves Eating Plants.
They are the kind of flowering plants who eats humans and other living beings but their main victim had been npc elves and that's why their name is Elves Eating Plants.
They are smaller in size, even smaller than a 3 years old child but they are powerful enough to eat an adult in just few minutes.
I would need to be careful hunting them too.
Their location was different from my quest but there's a big tree with dozens of branches and it was called the Leader Of The Forest.
It was the biggest tree you can find in the area of Forest Elves.
The Mini Elves Eating Plants were located in the east of the Leader Of The Forest.
I was going to train for a whole day killing them and after that I would move to my quest.
Around half an hour passed and I finally saw the Leader Of The Forest infront of me. It was gigantic. Bigger than a 12 floored building. It's branches were spread in every direction and they were more than 100. The width of it's branch was almost more than the width of a normal tree trunk.
Dilo and I took a break under it.
It has been around 4 hours since I left the Elves Village.
That village was really beautiful.
I sat under the tree in it's shadow along with the Dilo.
I started patting it's neck and with a smile said to it, "You must be tired and hungry by now, right? "
It gave a cry to me.
I laughed, opened my inventory and took out the lunch box given to me by the Elwyn's wife.
I removed the wrapped cloth and took out the lunch box. It was a blood red colored lunch box with shining on it.
I opened the box and the food was still hot for some reason.
In it were 2 fishes, some rice, different types of fruits and vegetables as sallad to eat.
It looked really delicious to me.
I gave a fish to the Dilo, some fruits, vegetables and rice and ate the remaining one for me.
Even though it was not much, it filled both of our's tummy.
We both were feeling thirsty now but there was no water and so we decided to continue our journey in hope of finding a fresh water body.
THUMP THUMP THUMP
The sound was echoing in the forest. It was the sound of the Dilo's running.
When a Dilo run, they produce enough amount of sound that it can echo.
A Dilo can run at the maximum of 192Km/h but at their peak condition. The Dilo I had was not fully matured and so it's speed was limited to around 104Km/h.
It's stamina was also not much. Without taking a break it could run for around 3 hours straight. A fully matured Dilo can run for around 9 hours straight without any break and go for 6 days without any food and water.
My Dilo could go 3 days without any food and water.
There were so many life forms around me but they were all hidden because of the sound of Dilo. They do approach some predators to them but they are fast enough to run away safely.
This was my biggest fear right now. I didn't want them to attract a strong predator from the sound they were making.
In this forest, there were many strong and dangerous predators I could be afraid of.
But there were 4 among them I absolutely didn't want to attract.
The Four Arms Ape.
The Orange Leaf Snake.
The Worm Of Forest And Earth.
The Six Winged Bird.
They were the 4 at the top of the food chain in this forest. Any life form would not dare to encounter and if they do, they know it's their last moment.
Even the Elves from the Forest Elf Race would not dare to fight these creatures alone. They would come in a group of 3 or 4 to take down atleast one of these 4 creatures.
After 10 minutes, I saw something on the ground infront of me.
There were cracks on the ground and the soil was eaten up from several places.
This was the sign that this place was the territory of the Worm Of The Forest And Earth and I had enter it without even knowing it.
And now it was creeping on me and was around me somewhere, it's gaze fixed at me.
