Chapter 227 - Ch 227: Sanya's POV_10

‎After flying for a while, we reached the continent. But we didn't continue flying instead we decided to land. Staying airborne made us too easy to spot from below. Players could shoot us down without warning.

We touched down on the continent and began moving toward the center on foot. The distance was still huge. We would need a vehicle soon, or the shrinking zone would catch us.

We kept our eyes open for any vehicle symbols—boats, helicopters, anything.

Just as we walked through a ruined street, we spotted a single player ahead.

He saw us too.

His eyes widened at the sight of two armed players together. He panicked, ducked behind a wall, and began firing wildly.

We reacted instantly—dropping into cover behind a thick concrete wall.

Ruyi pulled a grenade from her pouch, yanked the pin, and threw it toward the player's position.

But he reacted fast—throwing a net that caught the grenade mid-air. It exploded in the center, sending dust and smoke billowing everywhere.

The player seized the moment and ran.

Ruyi thought he would escape. But I wasn't satisfied.

I took out my crossbow, loaded the arrow, and aimed at the fleeing figure.

The smoke was thick—even my eyes couldn't pierce it. But I tracked him by sound alone—his footsteps pounding the ground, quick and panicked.

I fired.

Bullseye again.

The arrow hit true. He dropped instantly.

One more kill.

But this time, Ruyi was completely stunned. She had seen it up close—seen my actions clearly. She opened her mouth to question me.

I silenced her gently.

"It's just luck."

Ruyi stared at me, speechless. She decided to wait and watch more before asking anything.

The white balls following us saw everything.

They shouted into the void.

"Look, I told you—she's not normal. She's clearly a cheater."

"She shot me like that too. Absolutely not normal."

"But how can she cheat? Even top-class hackers can't touch this game. How is she doing it?"

"Well, the game doesn't even have a reporting function. Otherwise, we'd have reported her already."

"Don't worry—I recorded her. I'll upload the video on E.A. It'll alert the developers for sure."

"I see. If we get any reward for reporting her, it'll be worth it."

"Wait—who are 'we'? I recorded her. I should get the rewards, right?"

"So you're playing like that? Fine. I'm recording her too. Humph."

"You two—stop fighting. Look, we have a new member here."

"Yeah, you're right. Both of you stop. Welcome the new guy."

They kept chatting—arguing, laughing, complaining—drifting together in the void.

Meanwhile, Ruyi and I had managed to find a vehicle symbol. Clicking on it, we got… a bicycle? And a female bicycle at that?

I was speechless.

I cursed inwardly—whoever designed this game is surely a maniac.

Are the developers idiots? Shouldn't they add big vehicles instead of a bicycle? After some time, will they add a motor scooter? Oh..I forgot, they have already added it.

And what if a male player finds a female bicycle? Will he use it?

Well, we had no problem. I took the driver seat and let Ruyi ride behind me.

Even though my dress got in the way of pedaling, I still managed to ride.

After some time, we found a player. Ruyi killed him.

We then found a three-person team. We killed them.

There was no way to know how many players were still left on the map—no function showed the count. The game kept suspense, fear and curiosity alive.

After a while, we spotted four players driving a big monster truck. We hid on the roof of a house. I aimed at the driver's head with my enhanced long-range gun (enhanced by high level boosting stone).

The shot hit his head perfectly—but he wore a helmet boosted by a top-level boosting stone. The bullet did no damage.

Those four couldn't find me. I had used a silencer, so the shot was silent. They just started searching around on their monster truck.

Ruyi saw this and said, "Roxa, you should attack the other players. Only the driver seat person can have a top-level boosting stone. It's not like they all have the same one—it's almost impossible unless they looted all the islands or dangerous places on the continent."

In Ruyi's mind, she thought: I can't believe she shot that person's head from such a distance! And the person was constantly moving in the vehicle! How can she make that shot? Is she a pro sniper in real life? But even they can't do it!

I nodded at her words and took a shot at the person sitting in the back seat.

Bullseye.

That person quickly became a skeleton. His skeleton still in the monster truck, shocking his teammates.

The game had removed the function where players could revive their teammates.

The players were furious about that. They complained to the game developers on their website, but the answer they got stunned them.

"It's a virtual reality game. That means it has reality built in.

Understand what that word really means.

In real life, when you're down—shot, stabbed, overwhelmed—no one magically revives you. No timer ticks. No teammate teleports to save you. You bleed out. You die. Alone or watched helplessly.

That's reality.

This game teaches the same truth.

When your teammate falls, they're gone—permanently for that round. No second chances. You're left with what you actually built: trust, calls, positioning, timing, sacrifice.

Stop whining about no revives.

Start asking the real questions:

Why didn't we watch the flank?

Why didn't we rotate sooner?

Why did we push blind?

Why didn't we cover each other?

That's where growth happens.

Teamwork isn't a feature you buy.

It's a skill forged in failure, communication, and pain.

Next time someone dies for good… don't blame the game.

Look at your team.

Look at yourself.

And ask:

What could we have done better—so next time, they never fall at all?

Because in this game… just like in life…

the only true revive is prevention."

The players went silent after hearing this. The topic was still debated on online forums. But the developers didn't plan to say anything more.

Well, what could they say? Because they were also speechless. This message was sent by Sphera herself. She had said it was the command of the owner.

So even CEO Li couldn't stop her.
