Max and Rayn trying to find a way out of the caverns as they run for their lives away from Spiral. They continue to hear her terrifying laughter echoing throughout the entire cavern.
"We're so doom, oh we're so doomed" as they both begin to pant.
"Rayn maybe it's a good idea not to lower morality"
"Why we're trapped in a cavern full of crystals and a psycho crystal being who formed into our friend that is ready to kill on sight! Maybe it's going to be my turn and I get my arm crystal just like you Max."
"Rayn don't think like that right now. The last thing I need is my best friend losing his mind. Now take deep breathes Rayn" they both stop for a bit and slowly take three deep breaths to calm themselves downs and stay focus of what they need to do as Rayn quickly looks around the area around them as the are surrounded by crystals.
"Wait Max"
"What is it Rayn we're trying to find a way out of the caverns"
"Since we're in a cavern full of crystals could you perhaps you that crystals sight of yours to find a way out"
"Only one way to find out."
Max attempts to focus his sight on the crystals, till he activates Crystal Sight, spreading all his sight through all the crystals available in the caverns. As Max is looking through the crystals he tries to find the nearest and best path to go towards the surface. Until he got his answer.
"okay Rayn we're just above the surface and we just need to keep going" as Max points towards the direction they needed to go.
"hope your right. I'll keep this pickaxe in case Spiral wants to go for a second round"
"good idea. Come on we don't have time".
They both begin to run again, while Max is using his crystal sight while running with Rayn "you surprisingly already got used to that crystal sight of yours"
"thanks to that upgrade from that giant crystal, it made it a lot easier to use now" as they are running, they began to feel a quake.
"Max what was that?" Max quickly uses his crystal sight to locate where the earthquake happened, be what he witness through the crystals he sees, a giant crystal beast heading towards them.
"we need to run now!"
"what?"
"No time!"
Quickly grabbing Rayn the ran with all their might as with only a few minutes of running, Spiral is quickly catching up to them "oh my god! She's right behind us!"
"Don't think Rayn just keep running!"
"Max can't you think of something to make us go faster!"
"I can hold on!" As they were running away from Spiral, Max grabbed the pickaxe from Rayn, and throws it at Spiral hitting the eye of Spiral. She is quickly to be in pain as she is trying to get the pickaxe out of her eye.
"That should buy us some time". Max lifts his hand forward as he attempts to think of a transportation vehicle.
"Max can you think of something fast like a motorcycle"
"Rayn don't rush me. When I also need to think how is would move"
"Well if we're in a closed space, how about a horse?" Rayn wanting Max to form a horse out of crystals.
"Rayn please don't interpret that idea to me". Suddenly they hear a pickaxe fall behind them, as they look behind them Spiral is looking at them, blood thirst and vengeance.
"Ah screw it. Rayn quick hop on!" Max grabs Rayn's hand as he quickly constructs a crystallize horse with wheels and they both quickly get on as they start to ride away from Spiral.
"Hey you really did think both a motorcycle and a horse too"
"Rayn we were short on time. I couldn't afford to waste anytime"
"Well I guess it's smooth sailing... or riding from now on. Hey Max where's the nearest exit?"
"I think it's this path we're taking". As things are settling for Max and Rayn.
Rayn took a quick glance behind him, and was shocked to witness, Spiral catching up to them "Max!" Rayn tapping on his shoulder as Max looks back from a reflection to see Spiral catching onto them. "On it!" Max started to rev the motorcycle as they try to go faster.
"Can't this thing go any faster!?"
"You know I just constructed this thing, you think I have a manual to know how it works!" Rayn quickly took a quick look behind him and sees Spiral is still catching up to them and suddenly obstacles made of crystals started to appear "Max!" Max quickly tries to think quickly as the motorcycle transforms into a horse, jumping over from obstacle to obstacle.
"Max is there a crystal that makes you go faster! I'm pretty sure this horse you made, can't outrun Spiral" "Yeah it's celestite, but we don't have one for the moment" suddenly they both heard a voice coming from Max's arm.
Perhaps I could help.
Then Max started to glow form his arm to the horse made of crystals as a huge jolt of movement allows to move them both so fast they manage to bounce through all the crystals and make their way towards the surface out of the caverns. Until the speed soon faded and they both bounced and stumbled on the ground getting some scraps and bruises from the process.
"Ow... Max, you could've just made a slide before we just got out"
"What difference does it make Rayn, we're bound to get hurt anyway"
"At least we get hurt in style" Max groans a bit due to Rayn's imagination.
As they both get up and brush off the dust from their clothes they look around them and see that they manage to escape the caverns "haha yes we did!" Rayn yelling in excitement.
"Yes Rayn we did it"
"Hey Max you think you can create a boat for us"
"Will do Rayn, will do Rayn".
As Max tries to construct a boat from memory. However they notice Max's arm started to flicker brightly, they look at each other in disbelief. Then Max and Rayn are suddenly flung into the air and soon fell to the ground and quickly looked who were they attacked by. It was Spiral who also made her way out of the caverns and is ready to kill the two.
"Are you serious!? How many times do we have to run away from her!"
"No I think it's about time we fight"
Then Spiral fires shard of crystals at them, and Max quickly forms a shield to protect them form Spiral's attacks.
"Fight!? What do you mean, she's literally ten times our size"
"Yeah but you know the phrase" then Max forms a cannon and fires a crystal ball at Spiral and knocks her onto her back "the bigger they are. The harder they fall."
"That is a terrible phrase when someone is on all fours!" Suddenly from their short arguing and evading Spiral's attacks. Rayn sees a boat nearby.
"Hey Max look over there a boat. Could it be Lensfer?"
"Not sure but you go I'll keep it distracted"
Rayn nodded and heads toward the boat "No!!!" Spiral noticing what they are doing, she quickly gets up and uses her tail to swing towards Rayn, but it was intercepted by Max firing another crystal ball knocking the tail back.
"Hey pointy head, you wanted me. Come and get it" Spiral gets and charges towards Max quickly forms a shield and aim his arm towards a boulder ahead and from the front of the shield a grappling hook was fired and Max managed to dodge the attack form Spiral.
"You think your cheap tricks you keep you safe"
"No but it's worth a shot" and suddenly Max begins to glow again and two voices begin to emit from Max, one being him and the other is unknown to him "but also I am not alone" Spiral witnessing Max's glow and suddenly demeanor changed, quickly moves with a jolt of movement, and Max does the same, then begin to battle each other.
