The room fell silent.
It was so quiet that the noiseless sound of the rotating fans could be heard.
"W-what are you talking about? I would never say that!" the woman immediately countered, stuttering a little as she pointed a shaky finger at Dahlia.
Dahlia's eyes widened in surprise and she shook her head in response as she added, "No, you did. I remember you also said Sean wasn't the son of the man everyone thought he was."
"You even went into some gory details about how Mrs. Calvert and her brother-in-law went down into it."
"Then you moved on to how you tracked down Mrs. Calvert's brother-in-law just to see if he was the prowess she claimed he was."
Several eyes shifted toward Olivia Calvert.
Though they trembled with disbelief, no one bothered to mask the mockery in their gazes.
