Ichigo was running to his house when a figure appeared in his sight. The figure ran like a madman, and a wave of hollows followed him. 'Who is this guy?' The figure closed in, and it turned out to be Hoshito.
"Ichigo!" Hoshito shouted with a horrified expression.
"That idiot! Why the hell is he running from Hollows?!" Ichigo was confused and was about to kill the Hollows, but Hoshito stopped him. "Don't kill them, Ichigo! I have a plan, and I need them to be alive!" Hoshito shouted.
Ichigo was puzzled by this. "Just go to your house! The Quincy who helped me is there! I don't know what he is doing, but he told me to bring you there!" Hoshito said in a hurry and passed Ichigo. "I can't go with you, but you can run fast using something with your Shinigami powers. Go and forget about those Hollows; focus on getting home!"
Ichigo nodded, and his body blurred and vanished. 'Whoa, that was Shunpo, right? Never thought I could see it this close.' Hoshito thought for a second while running with Hollows chasing him.
# Kurosaki's Clinic #
As the fight went on, V was facing the Arrancar while Yoruichi was dealing with Hollows around them with Karin.
'Karin's inexperience is showing; she hesitates for a moment, and that's fatal. Thankfully, Yoruichi is covering her back and aiding her.' V's thoughts cut off as a claw fell at him. He leaped to the side, dodging it. "Is that what you got, Arrancar?" V said in a stoic tone.
"Shut up! You're the one who got distracted! You should pay attention to your fight, or are you worried about that little girl?" The Arrancar said arrogantly. He then threw a few Claws at V.
V raised his bow and blocked some, but he got stabbed and cut in his body. His expression didn't change, and when he got stabbed, he pulled an arrow from his bow and shot it straight at the Arrancar's head.
"Wha—!" The Arrancar jerked his head to the side, but the arrow scratched his cheek, and blood came out of it. "You bastard! Don't you have any care for your body!?" He shouted in anger.
"If it can give me an opening to kill you, then so be it, and my body can heal itself."
"What did you say?" The Arrancar immediately looked at the Quincy's body, but there was no sign of his body healing. "Hey! You were lying to me!" the Arrancar shouted, humiliated as he was treated like an idiot.
The Quincy gazed at his body for a moment. 'Just like the last time, my wounds didn't heal. Seriously, getting to this level is annoying. But at the same time, it gives me a good experience and sharpens my skills.'
Meanwhile, Yuzu stood frozen, not knowing what to do. She tightened her hands, holding her mother's cross. 'I can feel it… I can feel Karin fighting, but…' Her gaze turned to where her sister was fighting the Hollows. 'I'm sure I put her on the couch, and yet my heart tells me she is right there.'
Karin swung Yoruichi's blade at a Hollow and cut him down. "One down." She turned to check on her sister and saw a Hollow near her. "Yuzu!" she shouted as she ran toward her, but another Hollow appeared beside her and punched her, knocking her away.
"Karin-Chan!" Yoruichi shouted as Hollows jumped onto her. "Damn it! There are too many of them, and they don't leave an opening or let me breathe." 'It's as if someone told them to do that? But Who?'
The hollow grabbed Yuzu and squeezed her body. "Gah—!" The air was violently forced out of her mouth. 'What's going on? My body… It's getting crushed by something… Karin-Chan…' her mind slowly fading.
But then a memory came to her. It was when she saw her mother wearing her cross; she always saw her wearing it, but she didn't know why. "Mama, why do you always wear this cross?"
"Hmm? Why?" Masaki paused for a moment and smiled warmly. "Because this cross is my lucky charm that keeps evil spirits away."
"Really?! Amazing! Can I have one like this?" Yuzu smiled at her mother.
"I'm sorry, Yuzu, this one is special; few people can have it." Masaki rubbed Yuzu's hair.
"Owwww." Yuzu pouted her cheeks in disappointment. Masaki noticed it and thought for a moment. "Say, Yuzu, how about we make a promise between us?"
"A promise?" Yuzu asked, puzzled.
"Yes, I will give you this cross when you grow up, but on one condition: if you feel something very bad is going to happen, wear it," Masaki said in a whisper.
"Really?!" Yuzu asked. Masaki nodded with a warm smile. Yuzu jumped with joy. "Yay! It's a promise then!"
Then her mind went back to the present, and after recalling the memory, she held the cross to her chest and prayed in her heart. 'Please, if what Mom said is true, then please keep Karin-Chan safe and keep evil spirits away from her. PLEASE!'
Suddenly, as if the cross heard her prayer, Karin's eyes started to glow, and she cut down the hollow in front of her. "Get out of my way!! Yuzu— I HAVE TO PROTECT MY SISTER!!"
"What the—?!" The Arrancar was shocked.
"Karin-Chan." Yoruichi froze at Karin's sudden reiatsu.
V stopped and turned to Karin. 'I didn't foresee this. Her reiatsu increased more than expected; not only that.' his gaze went to Yuzu. 'I can sense Yuzu's spirit pressure increase… those twins… they both connect.'
Karin ran to Yuzu, but two Hollows stepped in. She clenched her teeth and charged them. One of the three jumped at her, but she swung the blade and killed it. The other one grabbed her before she could react.
The moment was hopeless; neither of them could save her, and even if they could, another Hollow would come and stop them. The girl's groans made Karin and Yoruichi frustrated. Then a scream came out of nowhere.
"Getsuga Tensho!"
A Golden blast hit the Hollow who held Yuzu, ending them and freeing her. The girl's body was about to fall until a hand grabbed her. The person wore a black fitted shihakusho with a high collar and cross-shaped armor pieces across his chest, wrists, and shoulders. He held a slim black katana featuring a three-guard-like blade and a short chain dangling from the hilt.
It was Ichigo in his Bankai form.
"Ichi-Nii/Ichigo!" Both Yoruichi and Karin were surprised.
"Finally, he came…" V muttered to himself, and there was relief in his eyes, but he didn't notice it.
"You have to be kidding me!!" The Arrancar was scared in the bottom of his heart as a sweet came to his face.
Ichigo laid Yuzu down and vanished, and appeared behind the Hollow who grabbed Karin. He swung down his blade and cut them down. He held Karin down; his eyes were down. "Karin… are you okay?" he asked.
"Yes, I'm okay Ichi-Nii." She said with a smile to reassure him.
"I see…" He noticed the Shihakusho she was wearing. "Karin, what happened? How did you—?"
"About that, the guy who wears the white military uniform used some kind of katana, and suddenly this happened," Karin pointed at V.
V turned to Arrancar with a stoic expression on his face. "Now then, would you give up and run?" he asked.
"No,No,No,No! I will never! If I will die, I will take you with me!" The Arrancar charged furiously at the Quincy.
V jumped and waved his hand, creating ten reishi spears around him. "Figured, well, farewell, nameless Arrancar." He lowered his hand, and the spears were thrown at the Arrancar. "Speere des Lichts." (Spears of light)
The spears went through the Arrancar's body, and he fell to the ground. The Hollows saw the scene, ran away, and left Yoruichi alone.
V went down and walked to Yoruichi; the fight was over, and everyone was okay. But the Arrancar's body disappeared. The Quincy was shocked. "What?!" Then he turned and saw the Arrancar close to him with his mouth open. 'He used Sonido to close the gap!'
"I told you, you will go with me, you bastard!" the Arrancar shouted, and he shot Cero. "Die!"
The Cero hit the Quincy, and smoke came from the place.
"HAHAHA! Serve you right! Now I can at least rest in peace, HAHAHA!" The Arrancar laughed hilariously, but a hand came from the smoke, grabbed his face, and shut him off. The Arrancar was shocked, and what shocked him more was that the Quincy survived with many bruises on him.
"You are thinking, How did I survive, right?" V said in a cold voice. "Cero was indeed strong enough to kill me, but unfortunately for you. I'm not a normal Quincy." He then blew the Arrancar with flames in his hand, ending them for good.
V turned and saw Ichigo and Karin were shocked, and Yoruichi standing with unease in her eyes, and he noticed Yuzu was unconscious. He opened his mouth to say something, but he fell. 'damn it! I can't keep my consciousness; I will pass out.'
His gaze went in the direction where Hoshito was going. 'I will leave the rest to you and others… even so, I would like to see how events go, but… this is how things work, I guess.' He passed out, leaving others speechless.
