"You're giving me a quest!?"
Athena sighed in frustration, probably thinking that I did not get the idea. "Yes. And as much as I didn't agree to it, Zeus's word was final. Even Poseidon agreed with Zeus."
I groaned, not because I didn't want a quest, but because of the bad timing. My omnitrix had taken a major devolution, and Azmuth had not listened to my pleas. Yeah, he could be stubborn when he wanted.

"Look, I really want to do the quest, but it's not a good ide-"
"Are you or are you not a demigod?"
"What?" I asked, completely bewildered by Athena's random question.
She closed her eyes for 2 second before opening them. Uh-oh, I think she was getting pissed now.
"I mean, I am." I replied quickly to avoid her wrath. Then she said "And you're a sea spawn on top of that. Even if I do not like admitting it, Barnacle Beard's spawns are naturally powerful. Do you have to rely on that watch?"
I blinked at the question. I had never thought of that. I slowly asked "What do you even mean?"
She sighed in exasperation. "Stupid sea spawns." She muttered to herself, but I heard it. "What I am meaning to imply is that you simply use your heritage! The watch does not define you, your heritage is a big part!"
I took a step back, because Athena's eyes were becoming intense, as if it could set something on fire just by looking. "I'm... I don't know! I've never used my powers like that!"
"THEN USE IT! My patience is running thin, and you are doing the quest whether you like it or not! Good day." and she signalled me to close my eyes.
After she flashed out of cabin 3, I sighed in frustration. Damn the Omnitrix! Damn Azmuth! Damn Paradox! Why couldn't I get a straight answer for once!?
I noticed a blue envelope lying innocently, waiting for itself to be opened. I immediately knew it was from my dad and started opening it.
Maybe it would have some tips on how to handle my powers. I tore it open and opened the slightly wet paper. On it written 5 words : The Sea Cannot Be Restrained.
Or not. I seriously thought screaming my throat open because not even dad could give me a straight answer. I got up and threw the contents of the letter on the bunk. As much as I wanted it to throw to the trash, I couldn't or it would anger dad. I couldn't let myself forget that my dad was Poseidon, Ruler of the Oceans.
I got out of the cabin and walked towards the big house. Sitting there were Gwen, Kevin and Chiron. Mr. D was apparently gone from the camp for some business.
"Hey Chiron, I'll be gone for a few days. Athena assigned me a quest to Mt. Othrys." I said to him.
Chiron nodded "Alright Ben. Go and seek the oracle, and return back safely."
Gwen raised her eyebrow "Nobody returns from the oracle safely?"
I rolled my eyes "No, he's just being dramatic." But Chiron still had a grimace on his face "Right?" I asked, a bit unsure now.
"There are some things that should not be in your knowledge about the oracle. They work in mysterious ways. That is all I am going to say." Chiron replied.
"Dude, if you're going, then can we come?" Kevin asked me. Before I gave an affirmation Chiron said "Not yet. If the Prophecy states that he goes alone, nobody should accompany him."
"What happens if we do?" Kevin asked.
"There was one camper who had to go alone and he went with one of his other friend. But he ended up returning alone, his friend killed by a Nemean Lion." Chiron replied.

Kevin raised his hands "Chill dude, I didn't ask for that graphic answer."
I climbed the ladder to the attic, leaving the rest of the conversation to them.
The attic was filled with Greek hero junk. The prominent of those were armor stands covered in cobwebs, once-bright shields pitted with rust, old leather steamer trunks plastered with stickers displaying 'Ithaka, Circe's Isle' and 'Land Of The Amazons'. A Hot Pink coloured scarf was sitting inside a jar innocently displaying 'Danger! Potent Love Magic!'. The Plaque read 'Aphrodite's Scarf, scavenged by Perseus Jackson and Annabeth Chase, Waterland Park, Denver, Colorado'
One long table was stacked with glass jars filled with pickled things-severed hairy claws, huge yellow eyes, various other parts of monsters. A dusty mounted trophy on the wall looked like a giant snake's head, but with horns and a full set of shark's teeth. The plaque read 'Hydra Head Number 1, Woodstock, NY, 1969'.
By the window, sitting on a wooden tripod stool, was the most gruesome memento of all, a mummy. But not just any mummy, this was one of the most dangerous mummy that it could predict and doom your future. This was The Oracle of Delphi.
I had briefly seen it before, after I had just arrived in this world. It seemed so long ago now. I took a deep breath and asked "What is my destiny?"
The Mummy's eyes glowed and a raspy voice came forth "No... Ssssstringsss..." It hissed "Sson of Possseidon... Champion of Chronussss... Beware... Fatessss are watching... Death and tragic awaitssss..."
Then the green glow of the eyes turned off and it looked lifeless than ever. As I stared at it, an icy feeling clenched my heart.
I had never felt this scared before, and I didn't know what I was going to expect. What was I going to do now that it was officially declared the Fates were watching my every step.
As I climbed down through the ladders, I could hear every creak it would make. Chiron looked at me gave me a questioning look.
I gulped, deciding I could not tell my recent relevations. I had a feeling it would make things worse than before. "It, ah, it said I had to do this alone," I lied. What better way to protect Gwen and Kevin than not including them? "and I would return back safely, and uh... Gaining more... Information."
Gwen looked at me suspiciously. Chiron nodded, obviously relieved "Did it say anything else?"
I shook my head. Then he looked directly at me "Then you better get started. The sooner you do it, the better."
I hurried back to cabin 3, avoiding eye contact with anyone. Percy wasn't in camp right now, he was also assigned some quest which I haven't been informed of.
As I neared to the camp borders to exit, I found Gwen blocking my way. "Hey Gwen." I greeted her cautiously. Last thing that I wanted was to have one of them come with me.
"Don't hey me." Gwen said, crossing her arms. "Don't try to lie your way. Yes, I know you were lying."
"Bu- but how?" I asked. Gwen smirked "Well, don't you remember how we used to confirm you weren't lying? If you lied, you would-"
"Flutter my left eye thrice. I completely forgot about it." I butted in.
"Yes. Thankfully Kevin didn't notice it this time. Now, what were you trying to hide?" Gwen asked.
I sighed "Look, it's not for your ears." Gwen then said "Didn't we agree to not lie to each other?"
I got an annoyed look "Like that prevented you from telling the truth about my parents." Seeing her hurt expression, I quickly apologized "Sorry."
She schooled her expression, but her eyes were still moist "I know, I made a mistake. But I'm trying to make it up to you. You can tell me. It's not good to bottle up your emotions."
I looked down at the ground "It's..." I leaned down to a tree trunk and started "I was not given a prophecy by the oracle. It said something that scared me."
"What?" Gwen asked, her voice soft. She put a hand on my shoulder. "Look Ben, Kevin and I are new to this world, but we are trying. And most important of all, you are our best friend."
I sighed. "The oracle said that the Fates are watching me. I am not something they made and control. It has something to do with Anake, the Primordial of Fate."
"Then I can research about her if you like?" Gwen suggested. I agreed by nodding my head.
"Thank you." I said sincerely. It was nice to know my friends had my back everytime. Gwen just smiled at me "No worries Ben. Just be careful, and don't be a Doofus."
I smirked and waved "I guess I'll see ya later Dweeb." I turned and slammed on the omnitrix. "Jetray!"

Damn it! I was cursing Azmuth in my mind as the Omnitrix powered down again. I muttered some creative Greek curses I was taught by Percy (Out of Annabeth's sight).

This was seriously becoming a handicap, and now I was wondering how I was so lucky to remain unscathed when I was a kid and the omnitrix ran out of power.
Nevertheless, I brought out my sword Afthartos and kept it in a stance, so I could get in a swordfight if I was in danger.
I was taught swordfighting by Percy, who was great teacher even if he denied it. He is absolutely phenomenal with his sword Riptide, and till now, I haven't defeated him even once.
As I neared the Garden of Hesperides, I made sure to avoid the Tree of Golden Apples and Ladon, who was snoring peacefully. The Hesperides were nowhere to be seen.
I kept an eye on my watch to be alert when it would fully recharge. Maybe it was my Demigod instincts, but I had a gut feeling someone or something was following me.
I stood behind a pillar supporting the broken palace and watched the conversation between two hulking figures.
One of them I recognized clearly. It was Atlas, and he was bellowing at the other person, who I could guess was a Titan. "Release me this instant! I lead great victories for Kronos himself! Take my burden and I will ensure we win!"
The other Titan tsked. "Nephew, I am under orders to not." He then sneered "Besides, you have no hope when you were tricked by that upstart hunter goddess! I, Hyperion was the first one to answer Lord Kronos! After millenias, I never lost hope he would reform! He will bring upon us a golden age!"
Atlas just grunted. Hyperion continued "The Alien Vilgax is offering to change the godling's physical attributions. I may not trust him, but he is preparing a strong army for us."
My eyes widened hearing that. And if Vilgax has Albedo on his side, then that meant things were getting worse. I had to find Albedo and send him back to the home world.
I got out quickly because I really did not want to fight a titan again. With my watch problems too.
Suddenly my gut lurched, and I raised my sword to block the incoming hit. I deflected the strike and grounded out the question "Who are you?"
I turned to look the person who had tried attacking me. Before I could see his facial features, he lunged at me. There was a lot of power in that strike, but Afthartos managed to hold it.
We traded a few strikes, before realizing his blows were rigid and well structured, almost like he was following a technique of sword fighting.
I tried the disarming move, and his sword clattered out of his hand. I held a sword at his throat. "Now tell me. Who are you? Why did you attack me?"
The boy, who looked around 14 or 15 glared at me. "Who in the name of Jupiter are you?"
I glared back at him "Ah ah ah. It doesn't work like that. Since I'm the one holding my sword to your throat. Now spill."
He growled before sighing. I took the moment to study him. He had blond hair, blue eyes and had a pretty well built body. He also had a scar on his lip, like he had tried biting onto something not meant to be eaten. I suddenly had a feeling I had seen those eyes before, but I couldn't remember.
"My name is Jason Grace, of the Fifth Cohort, Twelfth Legion Fulminata."
What? "You're a Demigod?" I asked him. I withdrew my sword and offered him a hand. He accepted it with hesitation. "My name is Ben."
He nodded before questioning "Why were you here?"
"To gain information against the Titans." I answered vaguely. He narrowed his eyes "Who's your Godly parent?"
"It's-" I said before deciding on asking him first "Who's yours?"
"I am Jason Grace, son of Jupiter." Jupiter?
*Jupiter. The Roman God of Lightning and Justice. He is the king of Olympus.*
Jason jumped at the voice before I said "Calm down! It's just my watch!"
He looked at it weirdly muttered "Might be Vulcan's" He cleared his throat again "And who, may I ask, is yours?"
"Umm... Poseidon." I answered.
His eyes widened "A son of Neptune? It has been a century since one has been born."
Then he narrowed his eyes again "Why are you calling him Poseidon? That was his Greek name."
What the hell? Then it dawned on me that Greek Gods were also Roman Gods in the history. Many things were changed about them.
"Oh I read about that in a book."
He was still clearly suspicious but he let that go. "Are you roaming? Have you gone to New Rome yet?"
"New Rome?" I asked, curious about the new name. "Of course," He muttered "I think you should accompany me and go to Camp Jupiter, so you can be determined if you are a friend or foe."
It seemed like there were a lot of surprises this day and I had to be careful about not mentioning where I came from.
Fortunately Jason didn't talk too much and led us to Oakland Hills. There was a service tunnel and it rippled with mist. Standing in front were two people wearing armor and holding spears.
Jason nodded at them before saying "New Recruit. Please inform Praetor Julia."
One of them nodded back in affirmation and rushed into the camp. Jason offered me a thin smile and said "Welcome to Camp Jupiter. The only safe place for Demigods."
