Chapter 40 - Chapter 40 – The Mind Shields of the Five

With the surge of knowledge I gained from Rick Prime, my mind had become a labyrinth of genius-level insights, multiversal theories, and technological blueprints no human in this era could even begin to comprehend. And with that came the responsibility to protect the only other people in the world who could keep pace with me—the O5 Council.

Mental attacks were one of our greatest potential weaknesses. Telepaths, sorcerers, psychic anomalies, mind-controlling SCPs, and even cosmic entities—anyone with the right abilities could rip secrets straight out of our heads. And we carried knowledge that, if exposed, could annihilate the world.

So I designed something new.

Five earrings. Each one powered by multiversal cognitive shielding technology based on Rick Prime's neural encryption theory and a sealing matrix enhanced by my Uzumaki fūinjutsu knowledge.

The result?

Perfect mental immunity.

No telepath could invade our minds. No entity could influence our thoughts. No spell could manipulate our will.No SCP could tamper with our consciousness. No psychic being—no matter how ancient—could even detect our mental presence.

Our minds had become fortresses.

It took far longer than I wanted. In this era, technology was primitive. Obsolete. Pathetically limited. I was forced to invent everything from scratch—materials, tools, formulas, frameworks, energy sources. Every breakthrough required three more breakthroughs just to make the components I needed.

But eventually, after months of relentless work, I finished the set.

Five earrings, forged from a hybrid alloy of SCP-148 Telekill fragments, Dark Elf metals, and a stabilizing lattice derived from an experimental Reality Stone micro-manipulation technique.

Each one was a masterpiece of engineering, sealing arts, anomalous science… and ruthless pragmatism.

One for me.One for Julius. One for Darius. One for Sun Tzu.One for Cleopatra.

We put them on immediately and agreed never to remove them—not even for a second.

As the metal clicked into place on my ear, I felt the shield activate—a silent, powerful hum deep in my mind. A wall. An armor. A presence.

From this moment forward…

No one would ever read an O5's mind again.

And somewhere, in the cold halls of Site-01, I couldn't help but smirk.

We were becoming something far beyond the Foundation of the original universe.

We were becoming untouchable.

And soon, unstoppable.
