The Jade in my embrace sobbed softly.
I could feel her delicate body trembling slightly. At this moment, she shed her strong exterior, appearing so tender and helpless, pitiful and fragile.
Soon, my shoulder became wet, but I did not mind.
My heart twinged slightly, feeling a bit of pity.
For a woman, being unable to choose her own love or marriage is so tragic. Even with wealth, it's nothing more than being born into a luxurious cage.
For a man, perhaps it's the same, but slightly better.
"Don't cry, if you don't like this marriage, don't agree to it. Fight to the end; they can't hold a knife to your throat and force you to marry!"
"Marriage is a lifetime affair. You must like it yourself, or else, with such a long future ahead, how will you live?"
Elizabeth Rodriguez was startled, stopped sobbing, and raised her head to look at me with tear-filled eyes.
Suddenly, she laughed with a puff.
"Who knew you were so young, yet understood this so well!"
