Valentina left The Spire, her base, with a convoy of black SUVs. Inside the lead car, Valentina's gaze was fixed on the road. She was thinking about her past life. While she hadn't struggled, having the system now made her feel that her previous life was superfluous.
A gentle smile appeared on her face. Viktor, who was in the driver's seat, caught it. His eyes stayed on her a little too long, and she noticed.
