Chapter 95 - 95: Geocentric Cannon Atomic Breath!

[Killed anomalous objects Scunner, Slattern, and Abomination, gaining 2200 (900+800+800) Anomaly Points]

[Reality Editor upgraded to Version 4.9. Current Anomaly Points: 600 / 4000]

Luke frowned slightly.

A Category V Kaiju is only worth 900?

That's not even as much as Mordo?!!

"But then again, Kaiju give fewer Anomaly Points individually, but there are many of them. Should I temporarily leave the wormhole open?"

Luke scanned the seabed.

He couldn't see the wormhole, but he had previously considered destroying it.

The wormhole itself was relatively fragile. As long as the external energy exceeded the energy supplied by tectonic plate movement, the wormhole could be destroyed.

In other words, if deployed at the right time, the high-yield nuclear weapons currently possessed by humanity would be enough to destroy the wormhole.

The problem, however, was that destroying the wormhole this way only treated the symptoms, not the root cause.

A wormhole has two ends. Destroying this side meant the other side would still exist.

The Precursor Civilization wouldn't need much effort to repair the wormhole and continue deploying Kaiju.

In the original work, humanity used Scunner's remains to deliver a nuclear bomb to the Precursor Civilization, detonating it on the other side of the wormhole.

That only managed to close the wormhole for ten years.

Luke estimated that if he only closed the wormhole on this side, getting a three-year window of peace would already be exceptional.

The best method, of course, would be to pass through the wormhole, invade the Precursor Civilization, and wipe them out.

But the Precursor Civilization was not a typical planet. They had been invading other worlds to reproduce and survive for hundreds of millions of years.

After hundreds of millions of years, nobody knew how advanced their spatial technology truly was.

A gentleman does not stand beneath a crumbling wall.

Since he could fight on home ground, Luke certainly wouldn't rashly rush into someone else's lair to fight to the death.

When Luke returned to the cruise ship, he was met by the wide eyes of Suyin and Jean.

In Jean's mind, Luke's performance today was enough to rival the two great mutant powerhouses, Magneto and Professor X.

Even now, the vacuum handprint and ravine created by Luke were still tearing apart the surrounding seawater, creating a spectacular sight.

Thor reluctantly pulled back his gaze and clicked his tongue. "Buddy, aren't you Midgardian Thor? What kind of ability is this?"

"Gravity Palm? Vacuum Palm? Or spatial power?"

Thor was filled with envy. Both of them were Thors, so why was Luke the only one showing off?

"It's nothing serious, just simple shockwave force."

"Shockwave force?"

Thor looked puzzled. "Is that molecular-level or atomic-level vibration?"

"It depends on the situation. Right now, it's molecular-level shockwave."

Luke waved his hand, and the continuously trembling sea surface gradually returned to calm.

The upper limit of power the Tremor-Tremor Fruit could unleash depended on Luke's output.

If he wished, he could destroy targets at the atomic level.

But generally, he didn't need to.

Thor subconsciously tightened his grip on the hammer's handle.

"So… can you shatter uru metal?"

Theoretically speaking, atomic-level destructive power would be enough to destroy the supposedly indestructible uru metal.

Gamora's God-Slayer sword is exactly such a weapon.

"How about we try it?"

Luke motioned for Thor to bring the hammer over.

Thor quickly hugged his hammer and shook his head. "Don't use my Meow-Meow Hammer."

"Aren't you curious? I'm just running an experiment. At worst, I'll restore it for you."

Seeing Thor's reaction, Luke spoke with amusement.

"Not curious. I'm not curious at all."

"My Meow-Meow Hammer is not a test subject."

Although Thor was very confident in the durability of his hammer,

Luke was a ruthless man who could destroy the Destroyer armor with a single punch.

He wasn't sure whether the oscillation power could destroy Mjolnir, but Luke's fist definitely could.

"Fine. I don't need your hammer. I have plenty."

Luke withdrew his gaze and looked toward Mosasaurus and Chaos, six kilometers away.

These two behemoths, originally locked in pursuit, immediately sensed danger after Luke's powerful strike tore open the ocean.

Sensing the threat, they instantly swam off in different directions.

Luke had originally intended to let Mosasaurus continue developing in the wild, but after realizing it had been targeted by the Precursors, he decided to send Mosasaurus on its way.

He certainly didn't want the dragon's head to be snatched away by the Precursors.

Thor noticed Luke's intention and quickly stepped forward. "How about leaving the rest to me?"

"Not happening."

Before Thor could say anything more, Luke pressed his hand downward, and a surge of freezing energy spread outward from the cruise ship, rapidly encasing the surrounding waters in ice.

Luke unleashed the power of the Casket of Ancient Winters without restraint, transforming the entire hundred-mile radius into an Ice Age in just one minute.

Mosasaurus and the Kaiju Chaos, who were fleeing through the deep sea, were also frozen solid.

If someone were to dive underwater right now, they would discover that the freezing energy had reached depths of five thousand meters.

As for the area covered, the main frozen zone spanned a hundred miles, while only the surface layers were frozen in the more distant regions.

It became a veritable Ice Island, isolated in the open ocean.

With ice of this thickness, it was impossible for Chaos to break free.

Even if Godzilla arrived, he would be forced into hibernation without proper preparation.

After finishing all this, Luke leisurely appeared above Chaos.

With a casual wave, he erased both the thick ice layer and the frozen statue of Chaos at the same time.

The blood inside Chaos contained extremely potent toxins that would not only kill marine life but also pollute land, proving fatal to life on Earth.

Even using nuclear weapons to kill these monsters would not truly eliminate the threat. Instead, the high temperatures and impact would spread the toxins even further, easily turning a city into barren land.

Therefore, the best way to kill a Kaiju was to use giant mechs to eliminate it with the least possible collateral damage, then slowly deal with the Kaiju's blood afterward.

Of course, Luke chose a safer method.

No matter how potent the toxins in the blood were, as long as they remained at the molecular or atomic level,

before Luke's oscillation power, everything would be completely shattered.

Toxins simply could not exist.

Once reduced to the most fundamental substances of the universe, what toxins could possibly remain?

As for Mosasaurus, Luke held back slightly, destroying only its head and ensuring the creature was completely dead.

[Killed anomalous targets Kaiju Chaos and Frenzied Azure Dragon, gaining 1300 (700+600) Anomaly Points. Current Anomaly Points: 1900 / 4000]

"Phew, almost time to level up again."

"I wonder what features will unlock when I upgrade to Version 5.0?"

Based on previous experience, a major update occurred every two versions.

Luke was quite looking forward to the upcoming rewards.

An upgrade to his golden finger meant an increase in strength.

With greater strength came greater safety.

"Luke, is this the power of the Casket of Ancient Winters? You can control it too?!"

Thor was surprised. Only a Frost Giant could perfectly control the Casket of Ancient Winters.

For anyone else, using it recklessly would result in being frozen solid.

Not to mention, Luke's level of control over the ice was extraordinarily precise.

Luke nodded. "This thing is even more convenient than I imagined."

Thor's mouth twitched. That's just you… He seriously doubted that even Laufey possessed such fine control as Luke.

Zhang Suyin hugged her arms tightly, her mouth slightly open as cold air escaped. She stammered, "How should we deal with the wormhole next?"

Hearing this, Thor also became serious for once.

"I suggest finding a way to destroy the wormhole."

Thor glanced at the dark sky, as if meeting Heimdall's gaze across countless light-years.

"Heimdall said that by tracing the wormhole, he saw the Precursor Civilization. They already view Earth as their next invasion target. If we don't destroy the wormhole, they definitely won't give up."

"But don't worry. Once we repair the Bifrost Bridge, even if the wormhole opens again, it won't matter. Asgard's army can provide support at any time, and we can also land directly on the Precursor planet and capture them all."

Thor laid out his proposal.

The main strategy was delay.

As long as they delayed long enough, once Asgard was free, they could simply use the Bifrost Bridge to destroy the Precursor planet.

"But the current problem is, how can we destroy the spatial wormhole?"

Jean Grey slightly furrowed her brows. "Maintaining a wormhole must require an enormous amount of energy. Can we really destroy it?"

Thor sighed. "If we were in Asgard, we would have a hundred ways to deal with it, but this is Earth…"

"I suggest your United Nations discuss how to handle it together."

"No need."

After some thought, Luke decided to temporarily erase the wormhole.

Keeping the wormhole would allow him to farm points, but that required time.

According to Pacific Rim, only thirty or forty Kaiju appeared in total during the ten years between 2013 and 2025.

Luke didn't have that much time to wait here slowly.

Moreover, there was no guarantee the Precursor Civilization would continue deploying low-level Kaiju according to their original plan after this incident.

The next time they appeared, they would likely be at least Level Five, or even Level Six Kaiju.

Or perhaps even the never-before-seen Level Seven or Eight.

To avoid complications, destroying the wormhole would at least reduce some of the risk.

"How are you going to deal with it?"

Hearing this, Thor subconsciously thought of Luke's earlier display.

"Using your oscillation punch to destroy the wormhole? Or freezing the entire Mariana Trench?"

Suyin couldn't help but add, "It's best not to freeze it. If you really do that, the entire South Sea and parts of the Pacific Ocean will freeze."

"This would greatly affect nearby shipping routes."

"Furthermore, the impact on Earth's ecosystem could be devastating."

Suyin clearly understood what kind of consequences such an action would have on the local ecology.

Due to the resulting chain reactions, it could lead to the collapse of the global marine food chain,

causing the extinction of hundreds of thousands, or even millions, of species.

This was no joke.

Luke had no intention of doing that. Although freezing was an effective method, he was not someone who acted without considering the consequences.

It was best to minimize the impact.

"I have a better way. You don't need to worry."

Luke stood at the bow of the cruise ship, looking down into the dark abyss of the seabed.

He gazed into the abyss, and the abyss seemed to gaze back at him.

At that moment,

Luke opened his mouth, and a stream of ice-blue energy gathered in his throat.

Yes, he had a better way.
