Outside
Taejoon stepped outside, and as he did, Mako's control suddenly lifted. He collapsed to the ground, his body weakened from the strain.
As he regained consciousness, Taejoon looked around, disoriented. He was standing outside Han's house, with no memory of how he got there. Confused and panicked, he pushed himself up and stumbled back inside.
The sight that greeted him made his heart stop. Han lay on the floor, unconscious, his body motionless. Taejoon's eyes widened in horror as he shouted, "Han!"
He rushed to Han's side, dropping to his knees beside him. Taejoon's hands trembled as he checked Han for wounds, but there were none. He scooped Han into his arms, holding him close as tears streamed down his face.
"Han, wake up... please," Taejoon whispered, his voice cracking with desperation. He crheld Han's limp body, his heart aching with fear.
With shaking hands, Taejoon dialed a doctor's number, his voice barely coherent as he begged for help. "Mr Kim,it taejoon, something happened to my fiance, please come over..he text him the address
Hours passed
Hours later, Doctor Kim emerged from Han's room, a reassuring smile on his face. "Taejoon, Han is going to be okay. The test results show he's responding well to the treatment."
Taejoon nodded, relief etched on his face. The doctor treated Han, left some medicine, and departed.
As soon as the doctor was gone, Taejoon's expression turned serious. He waited until the house was quiet, then he used his powers to scan Han's body.
His eyes widened in shock as he discovered the truth. Han's body was poisoned, and both his vampire and werewolf powers were fading. Taejoon's gaze snapped to Han's face, his eyes filled with concern and confusion.
"Han... what's going on?" Taejoon whispered to himself. "What exactly are you hiding?" 😊
Just as Taejoon was thinking, Han's eyelids fluttered open. Taejoon's face lit up with relief as he sat beside Han, grasping his hand tightly. "Han, you're awake."
Han's gaze locked onto Taejoon's, and seeing his boyfriend's familiar eyes, he smiled weakly and pulled Taejoon into a hug. "Taejoon..."
Taejoon wrapped his arms around Han, his worry evident in his voice. "Han, what's going on? What are you hiding?"
Han sighed, trying to brush it off. "Nothing... I just felt dizzy, that's all."
Taejoon pulled back, his thumb brushing against Han's cheek. "Han, I just scanned your body. Your body's poisoned, and both your vampire and werewolf abilities are fading away."
Han smiled weakly, trying to reassure Taejoon. "I'm fine... there's no such thing. Maybe you're just overthinking."
Taejoon sighed, his eyes filled with concern. He leaned forward, pressing a gentle kiss to Han's forehead. "Okay, I'll let you rest for now. We'll talk about this later."
Han nodded, his eyes drifting shut as he buried his face in Taejoon's chest. Taejoon held him close, his mind racing with worry and questions.
Han's stomach let out a loud growl, breaking the tension in the room.
Taejoon burst out laughing. "Alright, I think someone's hungry! I'll go make you something to eat."
He leaned forward, pressing a kiss to Han's forehead. "Be right back, try not to devour the furniture."
With a wink, Taejoon walked out of the room, leaving Han to roll his eyes good-naturedly.
Few minutes later
Minutes later, Han walked downstairs, his curiosity getting the better of him. The aroma of sizzling bacon and pancakes wafted through the air, making his stomach growl again.
He smiled, spotting Taejoon busy in the kitchen. Sneaking up behind him, Han wrapped his arms around Taejoon's waist, hugging him from behind.
Taejoon chuckled, not startled at all. "Hey, I thought I told you to rest?"
Han nuzzled Taejoon's back. "Couldn't resist the smell of food. What's cooking?"
Taejoon gestured to the stovetop. "Pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs...
Han's eyes lit up. "Sounds like a feast."
Taejoon turned around, a spatula in hand, and caught Han looking up at him. "What, you're staring," Han asked, his voice playful.
Taejoon chuckled, leaning in to kiss Han's forehead. Han smiled, his eyes sparkling.
Taejoon couldn't resist, his lips brushing against Han's cheek teasingly. Han's face flushed pink as he blushed, and Taejoon's grin widened.
"Gotcha," Taejoon whispered, his voice low and husky.
Han chuckles
Taejoon look at han lips, han breath catches,as he looks up at taejoon
Taejoon's lips met Han's in a soft, sweet kiss. Han's eyes fluttered closed, and he leaned into the kiss, his heart racing.
Just as things were getting romantic, Han's stomach growled again, loud and clear.
Taejoon pulled back, laughing. "I think someone's hungry!"
Han's face turned bright red as he laughed, burying his face in Taejoon's chest.
After cooking
As they sat down to eat, Taejoon picked up a piece of crispy bacon and held it out to Han. "Open wide, baby."
Han crossed his arms, pouting. "I'm not a baby, Taejoon."
Taejoon's eyes sparkled. "Oh, sorry. Your Majesty, would you like some bacon?"
Han's expression didn't change, but his eyes flicked to the bacon. Taejoon chuckled and brought it closer. Han huffed, but opened his mouth, and Taejoon popped the bacon in.
"Mmm, crispy," Han muttered, his pout fading.
Taejoon grinned, feeding him another piece. "I know you love it. You're like a little bear with bacon."
Han glared, but couldn't help laughing. "Shut up."
As they ate, Taejoon told Han about his morning, making him laugh with silly impressions of their cat, Luna. Han's grumbles turned into giggles, and soon he was feeding Taejoon bites of omelette.
As they slowed down, Han leaned back, full and happy. "Not bad, Taejoon. You're a decent cook."
Taejoon raised an eyebrow. "Decent? I'll have you know, I'm a master chef."
Han snorted. "Sure, sure. Just feed me more bacon."
Taejoon's smile turned soft. "Anything for you, Han." He leaned in, kissing Han's cheek. "Even if you are a picky eater."
Han's face flushed, but he smiled, nudging Taejoon with his shoulder. "Shut up and kiss me."
Taejoon's heart skipped a beat as their lips met, the kitchen warm and cozy around them.
After eating
Han and Taejoon were snuggled up on the couch, watching a movie and munching on popcorn, when Han suddenly glanced at the clock on the wall. "Taejoon, it's getting late. You should probably head back."
Taejoon shook his head, his expression firm. "I'm not going anywhere, Han. I'm staying with you for a few days until you're okay."
Han's eyes widened in protest. "What? No, no, no, Taejoon, you can't stay here! You've got work, and... and... stuff!"
Taejoon shrugged, munching on popcorn. "I cleared my schedule. I'm all yours for the next few days."
Han's face scrammed, his mind racing for an excuse. "But... but what about your apartment? You can't just leave it unguarded!"
Taejoon's expression was annoyingly calm. "Already asked your neighbor, Mrs. Kamara, to keep an eye on it. She's gonna water my plants and feed my fish."
Han's shoulders slumped, realizing he was cornered. "Taejoon, this is ridiculous. I'm fine, really."
Taejoon's gaze softened, and he pulled Han into a gentle hug. "I know you're fine, but I need this, okay? Let me take care of you for a bit."
Han's resistance crumbled, his voice muffled against Taejoon's chest. "You're impossible..."
Taejoon's chuckle ruffled Han's hair. "That's why you love me."
Han shook his head, but a small smile played on his lips. "You win, okay? Stay. But don't think this means I'm gonna let you cook dinner every night."
Taejoon grinned, squeezing Han tight. "Wouldn't have it any other way."
At night
The room was dimly lit, the only sound the soft hum of the night lamp and Han's erratic breathing. Taejoon's arms wrapped tighter around Han's waist, his voice low and teasing. "If you weren't recovering, I'd probably eat you up."
Han's face flamed, his eyes squeezing shut as he tried to process the implication. His mind racing, he grabbed a pillow and threw it behind him, hitting Taejoon squarely on the chest.
Taejoon chuckled, the pillow falling to the side as he pulled Han closer. Han tried to push him away, but Taejoon held tight, his lips brushing against Han's ear. "Too slow, baby."
Han's face burned brighter, but he couldn't help the smile creeping onto his lips. He tried to maintain his grumpy facade, but Taejoon's warmth seeped into him, making him melt.
As Han turned his face away, Taejoon nuzzled his neck, his voice a gentle whisper. "Gotcha."
Han's eyes rolled, but his voice was barely audible. "Shut up..."
Taejoon's chuckle vibrated against Han's skin, and he tightened his hold, cocooning Han in his warmth.
Han's breathing slowed, his body relaxing into Taejoon's embrace. The room grew quiet, the only sound the soft rise and fall of their chests.
Taejoon's voice was a gentle whisper. "Hey, Han?"
"Hmm?" Han murmured, his voice sleepy.
"Love you."
Han's heart skipped a beat. His face still warm from earlier, he whispered back, "Love you too."
Taejoon's arms tightened, his lips brushing Han's shoulder. "Goodnight, baby."
Han smiled, his eyes drifting shut. "Night, Taejoon."
Han's gentle touch and whispered words sent Taejoon's mind spinning. 😊 He lay still, eyes closed, as Han's fingers brushed against his forehead, smoothing out his hair.
"Mmm... sorry, Taejoon," Han whispered, his voice laced with a mix of guilt and determination. "I can't tell you the truth, but I promise I'll do everything I can to protect you from Mako."
Taejoon's thoughts were a jumble of questions. Mako? That name sent a shiver down his spine. He thought he'd killed him, taken care of the problem. What was Han talking about?
Taejoon's instincts screamed that something was off. Han's words, his tone, it all hinted at a deeper issue. A threat Taejoon wasn't aware of.
As Han leaned back, Taejoon sensed his gaze lingering on him, checking to see if he'd stirred. Taejoon kept his breathing slow and even, playing possum.
The moment Han relaxed, Taejoon's mind kicked into high gear. Mako's back? Is that what this is? He thought he'd ended that chapter, but maybe he'd only turned the page.
Taejoon's determination flared. He'd find out what was going on, and he'd protect Han, no matter what.
