Before she could respond, Jacob pressed her firmly against the door.
His body caged her in completely, his hands flat against the wood on either side of her head, trapping her.
Lily could feel the heat radiating off him, the tension in every line of his body. Jacob was furious, radiating such intense anger that the air felt electric.

She could feel his breath on her face, making her skin tingle uncomfortably. His face was so close she could make out his features even in the darkness—the sharp line of his jaw, the intensity in his eyes.
"Jacob, it's not what you think," Lily said quickly, trying to keep her voice steady. "Can you please back off a little? I can't breathe like this."
