"Correct. If you want it, I can sell it to you at market price." Kaidou wasn't surprised by Linlin's words, as Charlotte Linlin had always placed great importance on intelligence gathering.
"Mamamama, it's settled then. I'll have someone contact you." Charlotte Linlin nodded with satisfaction, but then her tone shifted. "However, Kaidou, I doubt mere seastone would be enough to warrant you personally receiving me, would it?"
Hearing this, a flicker of surprise passed through Kaidou's eyes. He set down his Wine Gourd and studied his former comrade carefully. "Tell me your real purpose, Linlin."
"Mamamama, Kaidou, now that you've established yourself in the New World, what are your plans for expansion?" Charlotte Linlin's question carried a probing tone.
"Expansion?" Kaidou thought about recent developments and responded with amusement. "So that's how it is, Linlin. I never expected you to seek external assistance, Worororo..."
Kaidou burst into laughter, his voice echoing across the sea.
"Shut up, Kaidou!" Charlotte Linlin shouted angrily upon hearing his laughter. "That bastard Golden Lion actually launched a war against my husband's country without any warning!"
"Your husband?" Kaidou looked surprised, his brow furrowing slightly.
"Correct, my eleventh husband. He was the king of the Walz Kingdom. I was just about to take control of Walz when that bastard Shiki dared to invade the country before I could." Charlotte Linlin spoke directly, her voice filled with rage.
"The Walz Kingdom? The one in the New World that produces various types of Den Den Mushi?" Kaidou said, a thoughtful glint in his eyes.
"Exactly." Charlotte Linlin nodded, her fingers unconsciously tightening on the armrest.
"Suffering such a great loss and not immediately seeking revenge doesn't seem like you, Linlin." Kaidou's tone carried a hint of teasing.
"Hmph! If I hadn't been giving birth that day, that bastard Shiki would never have succeeded so easily." Charlotte Linlin spoke indignantly, then continued, "Although I'm not afraid of that bastard Shiki, the difference in our subordinate forces is too great. Streusen needs to guard Totto Land, and my pirate crew lacks powerful officers. Right now, we're mainly relying on my four children to hold the fort."
As she spoke, Charlotte Linlin gestured toward Perospero and the others beside her, a trace of helplessness flashing in her eyes.
"So, you want to form an alliance with me?" Kaidou asked bluntly.
"Indeed, Kaidou, Shiki's current strength cannot be underestimated. He already commands twenty-eight divisions. The captains of the top ten divisions are all quite capable, and combined with Shiki's devil fruit ability, the Flying Pirates have become extremely troublesome." Charlotte Linlin spoke as she stood up, her massive frame casting a huge shadow under the sunset. "So, Kaidou, let's form an alliance. My children still need time to grow, and your subordinates need time to develop too."
Charlotte Linlin glanced at the young-looking executives beside Kaidou, a calculating glint flashing in her eyes.
Kaidou silently watched Linlin, his fingers lightly tapping the armrest of his seat. The sea breeze swept through his black long hair, revealing the ferocious Demon Horns on his forehead. Although he had now occupied Wano Country as his base, it was true, as Linlin said, that his core executives were still too young. Currently, only King, Bullet, and Queen among his subordinates could barely hold their own, while the others would need at least several years to fully develop.
"Wororororo..." Kaidou suddenly let out a low laugh. "Linlin, you've made quite a calculation. But..." His eyes suddenly turned sharp. "Why should I help you deal with the lion?"
A flash of anger appeared in Linlin's eyes, but she quickly regained her smile. "Mamamama~ Kaidou, do you think Shiki will let you off? The Sea Stone produced in Wano Country is an important strategic resource. If it hadn't been circulating through the underground world, perhaps no one would have thought about Wano Country. But now I estimate Shiki has already noticed Wano, and I believe it won't be long before Shiki attacks Wano Country."
Kaidou frowned slightly upon hearing this. Indeed, Golden Lion Shiki's ambitions were well-known throughout the New World. Wano Country's natural defenses were highly effective against invasions from other forces, but against Golden Lion who possessed the Float-Float Fruit ability, they were completely defenseless.
It was entirely possible that Shiki might invade Wano Country due to the butterfly effect. In terms of combat power, Kaidou didn't fear Shiki at all - in fact, if it came to a war of attrition, Kaidou was confident he could defeat Shiki after several days of fighting. But as Charlotte Linlin said, while his subordinates had the strongest potential, those who hadn't yet realized that potential might not be able to withstand Shiki's forces.
"Linlin, what do you plan to do?" Kaidou asked Charlotte Linlin, his tone carrying some seriousness.
"Mamamama~" Seeing Kaidou soften, Charlotte Linlin laughed heartily, then said: "It's simple - we form a pirate alliance. If Shiki attacks either of us, our two forces will immediately unite and declare war on the Flying Pirates. If we join forces, I don't think even Golden Lion Shiki could stand against us. What do you think, Kaidou?"
The sunset had completely sunk below the sea horizon, leaving only faint lighting on the deck. Kaidou silently watched Linlin as the sea breeze blew through his long hair. After a long while, he finally spoke:
"Agreed." After a long period of contemplation, Kaidou nodded in agreement, then added: "But my alliance with you only targets the Flying Pirates."
Upon hearing this, a satisfied smile appeared on Linlin's face: "Mamamama~ Deal!"
"By the way, you just took over Wano Country, yet you're leaving. Aren't you afraid the Samurai will rebel against your rule while you're gone? Or is there something outside more important than Wano Country?" Charlotte Linlin said to Kaidou.
"Worororo, if I don't leave, how would those rats hiding in the gutters dare to come out," Kaidou laughed heartily upon hearing this.
"Is that so? I see," Charlotte Linlin responded. "Then when do you plan to return to Wano Country?"
"Where I go is none of your business, Linlin," Kaidou said directly.
"Mamamama~, fine, suit yourself. With your current strength, even if Wano Country rebels, you can easily suppress it anyway," Charlotte Linlin said directly.
