"Alright, let's analyze the video we just watched."
After the analysis finished playing, everyone gradually averted their gaze. Nick Fury addressed Iron Man and Black Widow.
Without waiting for them to speak, Nick Fury summarized first.
"I think a question we've always been very concerned about—Loki's motive for invading Earth with the Chitauri—has been answered, at least to some extent."
"Thor thought Loki was dead before he came to Earth, and the Bifrost of Asgard was broken. So, we can infer that a war must have broken out in Asgard."
"Loki must have been involved in this war."
"And Loki kept saying he should have been king and such. So, could this war have been Loki and Thor fighting for the throne?"
"In this war, Loki failed. Did he come to conquer Earth to 'satisfy his inferiority complex'?"
Black Widow and Iron Man both nodded. Judging from the video, it was indeed very likely.
"Regardless, Loki's invasion of Earth should be a continuation of Asgardian grievances," Black Widow concluded definitively.
"The only good news is that we can confirm Thor's attitude towards Earth," Nick Fury shrugged. "It seems this Thor is very fond of Earth."
"And… Thor seems much more powerful than Loki," Black Widow added.
The scenes of Loki and Thor fighting had been shown to everyone. Although Loki's performance was somewhat incomplete, Thor's power still left a deep impression on everyone.
His physical strength was comparable to Iron Man's armor, he could fly, and he could control lightning… He certainly met everyone's psychological expectations for a god.
In terms of demonstrated power, Loki was indeed a bit weaker.
This could also be seen from Loki's failure to seize the throne.
"And probably much dumber," Iron Man added casually. "Thor looks like one of those simple-minded, brawny guys."
Nick Fury: "…"
Black Widow: "…"
How were they supposed to deal with having the same feeling?
No matter how they looked at that big guy, it felt like his brain was made of muscle, not intelligence.
Conversely, Loki's first impression was insidious and cunning, like a master of schemes and tricks.
"In any case, we can't control Asgardian grievances, so Loki coming to Earth to cause trouble is destined to happen."
Nick Fury's expression became more solemn. "All we can do now is prepare for Loki's arrival and try to avoid the Battle of New York."
"I have a question," Iron Man said suddenly after a brief moment of thought. "Could there be more to this than meets the eye? Or rather… a bigger conspiracy?"
"Do you remember what Thor said? He asked Loki who showed him the true power of the Tesseract! He asked Loki who the mastermind was!"
At Iron Man's words, Nick Fury and Black Widow's expressions also grew heavier.
"What is the mastermind's goal? Why did he show Loki the power of the Cube? Is Loki's invasion of Earth purely due to Asgardian grievances, or is it also related to that mastermind?"
Iron Man then threw out one crucial question after another, making the atmosphere in the room even more somber.
If the mastermind merely showed Loki the power of the Cube and did nothing else, and everything was Loki's own intention to cause trouble, then it would still be acceptable.
But if there really was the shadow of that mastermind behind Loki's invasion of Earth, things would become much more complicated.
And much worse.
"There's too little information; we can't analyze more. But if there really is such a mastermind… he can use an Asgardian prince as a pawn, so he must be an existence beyond our imagination."
Nick Fury slowly and gravely uttered these words after a few seconds of contemplation.
"If there truly is the shadow of such an existence in this matter, what is he trying to achieve by invading Earth through Loki? His level is far above Loki's. If he truly wanted to invade Earth, why wouldn't he do it himself instead of using someone else?"
"And besides the Tesseract, is there anything else on Earth that could attract such an existence?"
Black Widow also posed several sharp questions, but due to the limited information, no one could answer them immediately.
"Is it possible that the mastermind's invasion of Earth isn't actually for Earth, but for some other, more complex purpose?" Iron Man mused.
"Such as?" Nick Fury asked, his eyes gleaming, as he watched Iron Man.
"Such as… interstellar grievances!" Iron Man began to elaborate.
"Since Loki's invasion of Earth is due to their Asgardian grievances, why couldn't the mastermind have the same reason?"
"We already know that Asgard, the mythical realm, exists. So what about the legends of the Nine Realms? Why does Thor love Earth so much?"
Iron Man's words gradually made Nick Fury and Black Widow realize something.
"Stark, are you saying that Earth and the other planets of the Nine Realms are all Odin's territory, and that hidden existence is acting against Earth because of a grudge with Odin?"
Black Widow asked, following Iron Man's train of thought.
"Something like that. It might even be Thanos, the mastermind. That's the general idea, anyway."
"We used to be frogs in a well, not understanding this world, but now we know there's a much broader sky."
"So our thinking can't stay stuck in the past either."
Iron Man said earnestly.
Nick Fury and Black Widow fell into deep thought.
Although Iron Man's "Odin's grievances" theory was just a guess, a brainstorming flash of insight, it didn't have much credibility.
But Iron Man's words made a lot of sense.
After knowing about Asgard and aliens, one couldn't just think about problems from an Earth-centric perspective, because Earth is also part of the universe.
Sometimes, when considering problems, one indeed needed to look at the bigger picture, from a cosmic perspective.
"Also, the Tesseract might be something beyond our imagination. It's more complex than we thought," Iron Man said again in a low voice.
That thing was originally just treated as an alien object, nothing more.
But now, it seemed the Tesseract was far from that, because even Loki and Thor didn't know its true power.
