Beep Beep Beep
I woke up from my dream to hear my alarm going off and with a groan shuffled around until I shut it off.
That little bit of movement energized me enough to sit up from my bed and rub my face. My mind still a bit frazzled tried to think back on why I set my alarm so early in the first place. With no immediate idea I began my daily routine by getting up, stretching and washing my face in my bathroom sink. As the cold water hit my face I felt a sudden shock.
"Ohh dang that's right dad's coming over later." I said as I gazed at my reflection in the mirror.
Blonde hair and blue eyes with a strong build. Very different from what I remember in my past life as a normal guy with black eyes and hair.
Admiring myself for a second I quickly got cleaned up and dressed in my workout clothes made my bed then headed out for a run.
'Gotta keep up my cardio or I'll get an earful from pops.' I thought to myself in a huff as I remembered back when I first woke up in this new life.
16 years ago
I jolted awake in what seemed to be a white space with nothing and no one around. Slowly standing up I murmured under my breath "I really shouldn't have eaten those expired pizza rolls".
"Yeah you really shouldn't have." a voice said in a bored tone that seemed to come from all around me.
"So I think you know where this is headed." the voice slightly amused now as I stared to wig out from the situation I found myself in.
"So I'm dead from pizza rolls, for fucks sake." I covered my face embarrassed that I managed to apparently die from Totinos™.
"I'm going to be honest with you heheh. I've never seen in my long life someone who died in such a funny way quite like you did. I mean the reason your even getting two wishes was because it was so funny so good job there." the voice now laughing at me said in between giggles.
"Ugh thanks for the wishes I guess." I said embarrassingly as I uncovered my now red face.
"Haha ehem so what do you want for your wishes? Just so you know if you don't use one of your wishes for a specific world then I'm going to have to spin the wheel to decide for you. Even I don't know where you'll end up." the being said as a giant wheel popped into existence in front of me indicating the different worlds from slice of life anime to fucking Warhammer 40k and Earth Bet from Worm.
"There is no way in HELL I'm leaving that to chance. All those options with my shit luck I'd end up in Berserk, no thank you. I would like to choose for myself." I deadpanned at the voice while taking a step back from the wheel of worlds.
"That's a good choice. With all my power I can't exactly give away a free wish for your world. Normally the world is given free of charge, but lately all the reincarnations are taking a toll on the remaining energies left for us to manage our domains." the being said in a consoling manner to me making me shrug.
"It's fine, for now what I want is too be reborn in the My Hero Academia universe please. I want to experience a world of heroes without worrying about alien invasions and apocalypses like in Marvel or DC." I said politely as I can knowing the being could potentially mess with my life in inexplicable and horrifying ways.
"No problem, that world is pretty popular at the moment however it won't be an issue to get that set up for you. What about your last wish? For the record you could end up quirkless which would be a bummer." said the voice knowing the issue I would have not picking the right wish.
"I want to live in that world with my head held high without muddying up the genre by being a broken OP guy. So for my second wish could I have the template of Mr. Incredible for my ability? I'd really like to be set up with my favorite supers strength, durability and 6th sense." I pleaded with my hands clasped together in the direction of where I thought the voice to be.
"Mr. Incredible template? Wow no one has asked for that before." The voice shocked at my good taste punched in my wishes and as my sight began to darken the being said in a low tone "I'll change some things to help you out, wouldn't want to get kidnapped by All for One now would you?" After I was wisked away to my new life the being continued on saying "I hope he likes what I did for him a couple good surprises would make his new life a little better for everyone."
Present day
After I finished up my run and workout on my way back to my apartment I spotted a hunched figure in front of my door about to knock. "Is that you dad?" I said to the emaciated figure in the too large hoodie.
He turned with a smile and said in a low tone "Hey son I wanted to talk to you about something important could I come in?"
"Of course you can come in, I thought you would have been inside already? I did give you a spare key right?" I said exasperated at my Skele-dad. Moving past him to open up my door.
"I just don't want to impose, this is where you live now a working man living by himself." He paused in contemplation and whispered in a mock voice "You don't have a girlfriend in there right?"
"Dad stop being silly, get in here." I rolled my eyes as I gently pushed my dad inside before closing my door. Turning to him I continued after sitting on my couch "So what's wrong? It must be important for you to come to talk to me all sneaky like." He sat down in front of me then...
Toshinori Yagi spoke to his only child "I've found my successor."
To that Edward Yagi said "Oh fuck for real?"
